Hello people, i need some advice here.
I'm a new driver, and will be getting my first car and the RX8 is tops on my list.

however, concerned friends have advised against getting the RX8 as my first car, lest i cant handle it / get pushed on the roads / kena accident
but i love the car so much it seems like i dun have a second option

also, i'd like to know what's the fuel consumption like for a moderate driver.. like $600 per mth on fuel???

Please flood me with advice!

 

MsV, Good Choice! 8 is a bauty. If not comfy with manual. Go for Auto lor! $600 fuel/mth can go a long way...

I think the fuel comsumption really depend on ur driving style n ur lifestyle?
Lets say if ur the type who loves to floor the pedal everytime u get on the car
n u have a job that requires a lot of travelling, trust me...$600 is not gonna be
enough...

But then again...no one here really bought the 8 for it fuel comsumption? My
advice wld be...juz get the car if u really love it...

 

$600 a month on fuel is a little exaggerated. Our car travels at ard 6-8 litres per km. So therefore u might want to gauge from there.

dun worry abt being ur first car..... its easy to handle... juz go easy on the accelerator until u r used to the car.....

 

I basically will only be driving to work (which is like 10mins from my place), to gym and the weekend dinner thing with friends.. so guess won't be incurring alot on the fuel part.. i hope so laaaaa

Im just afraid i will be spending my entire salary on the car and eat grass

i confirm love the 8.. i drool everytime i see it :P

I spend abt $500 a mth on fuel cos I travel from home to work which is abt 25km..
So, daily i drive abt 50km. If your workplace is only abt 10mins, then it should be a lot lesser...

I also scared that i drive 8 with P plate on the roads will kena bully or kena pple jio me..

 

ha.. dun worry la.. should b alrite... unless u r ralli chio, of coz u will xpect pple to jio u la. hehe
juz go faster den pple won't get e chance to bully u... there r bound to be rd bullies on e rd even if u would to drive other carmakes

Actually eat grass is ok - cos i can lose weight..
But a woman still needs to go shopping for her shoes, bags, miracle creams blah blah.. how can spend everything on the car? although i really love the 8 to death lah.. :P

 

maybe get the white first then drive until sian then spray to white
