me new here! Getting my Black RX-8 sometime around the end of the month.... Been driving a Rav4 for the past 2 years until I decided that I had enough! :( I want a fast car that is not turbo-charged and that's bound to turn heads when I'm driving by! I'm sick of having boy-racers in their WRXs and EVOs showing me the look as though they're driving the coolest car around!

Although I still like my Rav4, the temptation and sleek lines of a RX-8 has finally won me over and is giving me enough motivation to sell my Rav4 away... Lastly, I hope this cool car can make me look abit more cool too! :D

Finally would I be able to flash a big smile as I step off my vehicle when I meet my clients! :D

You can get a lot of useful information here about our 8s. You can also get a lot of aftermarket parts and accessories whether it's just to dress up your baby or make it into a monster machine. Just be prepared, once you start, you can't stop. :p Once again, welcome welcome.

Pro of DC5
1. Cheaper price
2. FC is better than rx8
3. Renowned VTEC engine
4. Light weight
5. Many many aftermarket parts from taiwan, thai, msia.

Cons of DC5
1. Common (Type R not as common, but from far, they look all the same)
2. Boyracer tag
3. Front wheel drive (fun factor not as high as rear wheel drive)

I'm not very new here. Joined this club early this year but wasn't active bcoz have been travelling. I went to the huge gathering in marina south early this year.

Used to drive a corolla and then tsunami striked, I think life is quite unpredictable so I wanna drive something cool be4 i DIE!!!! Quite reluctant to change initially bcoz corolla has nvr given me any problem. But stil... now with my black rx8 and having a lot of fun!!

I'm just about to properly join the club (yeah! RX8 comin' soon - RED - sizzle) but till then, can only dream and read all your posts. haha. Didn't change car because of tsunami but the urge happens every year around insurance renewal time.

2 years ago... it was the Mini
1 year ago... it was the Honda Integra

... but for one reason or another, it was same old, same old.

This year... I DID IT!! And I'm already feeling good about it. Can't imagine how good I'll feel when I take it for the first ride. OooooOOooo...
