New feature i found in RE Amemiya ECU: Smart Shifting

Guys, i found a really cool feature in the RE ECU reflash: Smart shifting between normal and agressive footworks.

Driving normally (up to 2/5 pedal), shifting as per norm, albeit a little higher rpms than stock.

Driving aggressively (3/5 pedal to full), gears will redline at 8200 for 2 secs before shifting.

And all this on full auto w/o using paddle shifters 'manual' mode.

What impressed me when i first drove the AT 8 was how smart the car shifts under load, accel, deccel, etc. How much better can it be?

Well, all I can say, is that with the remap, it just made it even better.

As at certain cornering speeds, the auto transmission goes abit retarded at times and not shift down properly when it is suppose to, now it's more responsive and spontaneous compared to last time..........

at stock, never did the ecu allow the AT8 to go close to redline. after the ecu flash, it brings it to redline (the beep and warning light) and stays there for 2 secs before shifting.

hi
i also have this problem of the gear not shifting down fast enough when i am slowing down for a turn (or other reasons) and trying to drive off before complete stop.. it just stays at 4th gear..and accelerating from 4th gear is a pain...so dose the remap make it better?

actually for downshift to 2nd gear at 40kph even wo ecu flash the car should be able to do it liao what (wo paddle shifting). it's all about your driving style lah - ecu will learn over time. caveat: it may be fun but my mileage is 280km tops hor, warn you first

i wonder how different the RE PCM reflash is different to that of racing beat's. http://www.racingbeat.com/FRmazda4.htm

Seems that there is no change in FC.
