Get a slender (thin) magnet. Attach it to a thin wire or some string.

Go fishing...............

And if the magnet can't get in... get another safety pin.. magnetize it.. tie it to a thread and drop it in... go for a drive and corner your car....hopefully it works... Or just bring in the car to the workshop and tell them you hear something and get them to open it up...

i tried unbending a clothes hanger and sticking loads of tape on one end and tried fishing, its alot harder than it seems.
the opening is in a kinda weird angle

will try the magnet and string method again.

the only worry now is if the magnet is dropped, more noise!

think the string and magnetic safety pin is easier.

thanks for all the replies, will keep you informed

I am sure your GF did it deliberately, so that you will remember her while driving!! Haa haa... good luck at fishing.

i tried going fishing, can't seem to find it
i have no idea where is it now, the safety pin seem to have dropped out or something. no more sound
wonder will it drop into some place and have some adverse effect on some parts?

Use a shop-vac, just make a good seal around the vent.
