Was thinking of those colors... went to check with a PI

They do not offer any rebates/cashback, total cost (including sun-roof, elec seats, white color) = 135,500 vs 125k for MM

Seems like paying 10 grand to get the color of choice.

Of coz the other way of looking at it is that there is the additional 20 horses to justify the increase... :p

Any advice?

IMO, if i were limited in choice of colours and i have cash to spare. I will re-spray my 8 to be multi-chromatic pearl lime, pink or orange. Though you will risk being called a beng-mobil. But who cares, only sour grapes bother. I have seen a lime 8 before in a magazine and it looks great. (not neon lime but multi-chromatic lime)

I do have friend who re-spray his 350's original black to multi-coloured snowflake black. Pro: damn unique and expensive looking. Cons: Looks dirty from farway.

I think the titanium grey looks great, especially with bodykit. Actually it can look beter if mazda made the grey look more "metallic" and a shade lighter.

I only suggest grey when you are buying from MM as they only have those few colours.

I don't know where you get the extra 20 horses from, but so far there isn't much difference in performance between the SE3P and FE32. Any few horses of difference is gained or lossed in a couple of mods and of course driving technique. However, I would like to bring to your attention to a couple of other differences just in case you didn't take that into account.

#1 Speed Cut - So far most JDM 8 owners have reported the speed cut at about 187km/h. You might be able to remove the speed cut with a piggyback ECU or a total ECU reflash, but it's still something extra that you gotta do nonetheless.
#2 Warranty/support - MM offers 3 years warranty and will support you with parts and service. So far, my experience with MM has been quite pleasant.

Ha ha... my car colour can shine through the layer of dirt mah. Black... errr... I think a bit hard lor. It's a super tough colour to maintain so it's only for the super dedicated car slaves. :D

Hmm... tot the JDM from PI comes with 250 horses compared to MM's which comes with 231?

Where to get the ECU reflashed in SG? How much is the estimated damage?

More inclined towards grey but worried tat it looks abit old for my age

if u can feel the 19 horses difference, u will be the 1st one i pray to, bro..... :D :D plus no PI is bringing in this 6MT full spec JDM model liao.. unless u order, cos they cun fight the price with MM.

no one in spore noes how to reflash the original ECU for the rx8. U may wan to add a piggyback, but i do not noe whether speedcut is in the feature or not....

colour wise.... no colour is too old.... its old u bring out the appearance of the car... t.grey - FUJITA ENGINEERING!!!!!! :D

Ha ha ha... I just knew you would say that.

Yah, like I said, I haven't seen any significant difference in performance between the SE3P and FE32. Any difference in power is easily gained or lossed in the right or wrong mods (that's right, there are mods that make you lose power) and driving technique. Not forgetting the $10K difference in price, speed cut and shorter warranty and support issues. If it's a matter of just colour, I would rather go for t.grey from MM and add a bodykit like what coupe07 suggested. $10K can get you quite a few nice toys!
