There will be a meet-up n rounding tonite, provided the weather holds up and dun rain.

Rounding route:
Out from Kallang > straight on to PIE> filter left to CTE> go thru 2 tunnels> exit south bouna vista> head to 99 turns> once down head to west coast mc direction> turn to jalan buroh> make a u-turn back at end of jalan buroh and back to west coast mac> head to pasir panjang wholesale centre> go up bridge> all the way to keppel> go up ECP

once up on ECP, 3 options,
1. come back to Kallang and disperse from there.
2. head to changi airport for refreshments and disperse from there
3. head to east coast park for drinks or straight line sprints.

New owners, to-be owners all are encouraged to join. Those who wants to be heroes, this is not the time. If not, u can carry on by urself. You know who you are. Those late comers who wans us to wait, u inform some members. Up til a certain time u dun come, adios to you.

I'm extending out this invitation to the recent crop of "lady" owners. If you genuinely wan to look at various kinds of rx8, this is the chance. No need to be shy. Again, that is if you are a genuine member.

As usual, meet up 10pm, kallang big carpark. THe rest of the car clubs are generally NOT welcomed. So dun need to jio other clubs to join.

Those who wans to talk ****, refrain from doing so in this thread. GO to the ladies thread. U noe who you are. Its sort of getting a bit irritating when there is overly too much **** talking ard.

I noticed you mention other car clubs are not welcomed. I'm not part of any club here (don't there is one anyway for my car type, at least not that I know of) but I'm a sportscar enthusiast. Would like to participate if that's ok? I'm new to Singapore and new to the scene here.

Pls advise.

DEBRIEF

Good rounding route, except for the few hollanders. Met a super fast n crazy EK9 when heading to CTE. When heading back to Kallang, met a white Integra. Dun tink it was a type R cos it wasnt fast enuf.

Anyway, standby for 2 weeks later. Please remember this route. Should be the basic route for future roundings.

No wasn't me on the alfa. :-) Sorry I couldn't make it as something came up so I had to pack for an early flight the next day.

However, I did swing by for a quick round on my way home, (my apologies for not stopping). Really cool event... so many nice cars there including other car clubs. Pls keep this going!

hello beachberu,

i'm thinking of getting the rc8 just like you. But before that, i was eyeing the 350Z. i gave up on the tot cuz of the bad reviews given by top gear, but of cuz, top gear do give some pretty crap reviews sometimes. But since you own a 350Z and want to switch to the RX8.... what is making you change your mind now? mind sharing whats wrong with the 350Z?

Edit: sorry abit off topic, but tot it would be funny to start a new topic "Beachberu: Hows your 350Z?" apologies if i break some forum rule or something.

 

The 350 is a good car in its own right. If i had the excess cash i would have bought the 350 as a second car.

Then again, i would also buy a evo, a dc5, bmw 6 series, m3, m5, x3, x5, s15, skyline, mx5, amg c55, sl55, slr, etc. Ok, if i am not greedy, it will still be s15, 350, rx8 and dc5.

 

Hi Guys,

To be honest, I was deciding between the Z and the 8 for a while now. Both are great cars IMHO and to each his own really. I like the Z for its raw power and road presence but I'm attracted by 8's good looks, practicality and affordability (think road tax, insurance & FC).

It was a tough decision really...but I settled for the Z. So far no complaints but it's fuel guzzling for city driving...

can understand the cheaper road tax and insurance.... but FC? i tot the 350Z can do 10km/l comfortably, whereas i think 8km/l on the 8 is like the best you can get.
