Mazdaspeed bodykit

Does anyone know where to get decent replica mazdaspeed bodykit? The original one all in cost over S$8k, while other bodykits are around S$3-4k, huge differences. The cost differences is quite significant.

Have looked around several bodykits, but still like the mazdaspeed one. Was thinking about the INGS and Knight Sports Kit, but bo bian, girlfriend also like the Mazdaspeed one. S$8K quite high for bodykit, thats why asking around if there are any decent replicas one....

I think you can also do a mix and match cause i think the part that draws the most attention is the spoiler. Why not try different makes for parts and go for MS spoiler.

It is a lot of money, double what other kits are, but the fit is 100% perfect and it looks so good on the car, plus the instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the kit comes painted with factory paint so the match is excelnet.!

I agreed with coupe07, u cant go wrong with original kits.

Like wat sgrenesis has said, MS kit is cool for their GT Wing, the rest, i think is worth spending on other kits. You can mix and match ....

Why not bring her to the group weekly meetup and see the rest of the rx8 kits ... she might change her mind over the MS Kits

eh bahhhh...steady lah....knight sports...handsome kit man. sure make our coupe07 proud...or xian (cos he still doesn't know who is running about with the other KS kit). INGS kit....still must do some work to make it swee swee along the side markers.

Girlfriend like mazdaspeed.....tuff choice i tell you. 8K (maybe mazda price the kit at 8k cos its rx8..if its named rx3...maybe 3k) is definitely on the high side but it sure it nice. but if you get other brands...say 4k....you still have 4k left to experiment other kind of poisons.

Most importantly(god...i am becoming more naggy)...which one do you prefer if your girlfriend is not giving you other opinions?

replica can be a good quality and at half the price, who is complianing?
we have done one MS replica bit, and the quality is pretty good, fitment is fine.
it all comes down to prep work and painting...... it can look just as good as the original ones. i have seen a few miss-colour matching with the original kit....

i know what i can do with the 4k saved....

in aussie.. rx8 cost half the price of the rx8 in sg...
60k compared to 135k...

plus there are alot of good pimping shops around which can reallllllllllllllllyy bling up ur car therefore ... its makes alot of difference...
you dun wanna spoil a 135k car... trust me..i made one mistake abt a replica veilside and it look like ****, i tell you...
this issue has been going on n on!!! however, if you want a MS kit replica...i suggest you get the replica and get a carbon fibre maker or good quality frp maker and mould it again from the replica.. may cost more but definitely not more than 8 k in total... depends on you again.. see hw much you wanna spend but if your ride is grey in colour... i would go for fugita eng..kit!!!!! LOL!!! just my 1cent opinion

I rather get a replica one too. I may get sick of it when a nicer one comes. And the savings can be put to some rather good use.

A bodykit to me is a none functional part and only good as style so replicas should not be much of a problem.

$8k buys a Vertu or 2 Vaios, a turbo, or a long holiday, etc. To blow it on a kit when other originals cost half and replicas a quarter. Its hard to justify to the logical accountant in me to buy it.

Of course there are bros here that are strong supporters of originals.

It's really a matter of preference. Like Emperor pointed out, he can't justify spending that much money on a kit, as opposed to some that believes in buying the real ones or none at all.

I'd personally save up n spend more on the originals. Just to avoid possible problems with fitments, quality etc.

bros,

relac lah.

all this veri subjective lah. just like body colour, rims and kits.

members here from diff walks of life with different background.
end of the day, it's all about affordability, disposable income.
got more spend more, got less think thrice before spending.

mazdaspeed mag rims 10K oso got ppl buy, supercharger 8K oso got ppl change.

what about in the states, RX8 is US$20K but the turbo set is oredi US$7K liao.
30% of car price. rented car oso can fit turbocharger. LOL!

There's this old man that I know of(er....he dun know me)
owns Ferrari 360 in 6 diff colours.

so bottomline is each to his own on how oneself spends their money.

regards
peter chan

Bro. Sorry if i really di offend you; absolutely no harm intended.

In fact i admire you guys who are willing to shell out for the original kit, IMO you must really be hardcore to do it.

Why i had to study business; made me so calculative and logical. Should have taken automotive engineering.
