You want to convert it to manual..... but if you dont mind the cost, you can look for Ah Choy...... He got one manual engine, then there's a chop shop nearby got one manual gearbox and wiring....

You can trade with him for your auto engine and gearbox.... In the end, it will safe you alot....

 

Maybe Lennon , you can give me the contact of Ah Choy so that I can check out the OEM part avaialbility from him. What's Ah Choy's company name?

What about OEM parts from Singapore .....are they available at reasonable price? Where are the usual place to service the car?

The price of a 4AT 2003 model is costing around 165k-170k....is it a good buy?

RX8 maintenance stuff... what are the things to looks out for?

Basically, Ah Choy has been dealing with rotary engine for long time....... Building engine and troubleshooting check lights...... He don't stock OEM parts, but he can get it at reasonable price........ OEM parts are expensive and there's no exclusive faulty parts are common to all owners..... H&M motorsports is the name......

Parts from SG are much more cheaper than C&C...... Service can be done any shops you like...... C&C does service RX8 .....

Look out for the oil you use(oni semisynthetic or Rotary oil), change it every 5000km.......

It's better we meet up or communicate thru phone...

Normally i dont encourage this conversion.... it might end up in trouble.......

Cost might be 15k to 20k depending whether there's anyone want to buy your engine........

its not possible to convert unless u have a new engine + gear box like what lennon say.
there is also a module for the 6 speed. so u might need the module too. only 6 speed has.
it is more advicesable to tradein AT and buy 6MT, cheaper

RPM drop when air-con is turn one, car vibrates at idle. when pull to D vibrates get worse, can see the RPM drop a bit. any idea why? if its not mounting.
