Second one is new exhaust launched this year with nice craftmanship.... Cost 5k++

Last one is made of titanium, thus lightest of all at 12.4kg... Cost 7k++

All exhaust sounds awesome from the review of "RX8 Sports Magazine"..........

Has anyone heard that adding 2T Motorcycle oil into your fuel helps the engine run smoother? Just got this from a mechanic friend. Was wondering I need to validate this before trying it out? Any ideas?

 

Hah! Goober8 someone told me the same thing. but i found that its not true, that is the ancient way to smooth up machines. like all my construction site machinery. well this is a rotary engine. 2T might cause unburn deposit left inside your car. and u know what it will do next. eat up gasket.

The question is whether is there any shops that brings in...... Answer is no!!! Wangan is the most so far....... But i dont see other shop's intention to bring in ready stock, unless you special order it.........

Add ATF is better in my mind....... Becos you dont have one to cool transmission oil

Lennon - Do you think the a standard RX7 Oil cooler would fit in the 8? It would definitely be a cheaper option compared to the MS one for RM 1,750.

 

You got high chance there to fit one in........From my experience, second hand good condition oil cooler are price at RM500...... Then you need to make the steel braided hose which might cost RM400........ Plus installation and so, the total wont go over RM1000.... This is worst case scenario IMHO......

Look for Ah Choy at USJ.... he got lots of RX7 oil cooler........ He's a rotor specialis, but don't judged him by his look.... hehhe

No, i'm not saying the oil cooler wont fit...... Reason i say ATF is better choice, becos you wont get much temp. drop if you add on additional oil cooler...... The oil pressure will drop a bit............ Like what Wood say earlier, the center concole wont be that hot with ATF cooler ....... You can pull harder when the gearbox is colder....... Besides that it helps engine to cool down indirectly........ When your engine is hotter than gearbox, heat will be radiated or conducted to gearbox.......

I want to install a transmission cooler too...... becos you change gearbox oni once for 40k-50k.......

 

This doesnt work accordingly actually..... Japan can get 200-210 ps dyno on wheel becos they are using better fuel (Ron 100) than us...... So no matter how you mod your car according to certain japanese factory settings, you still wont get that much...... Then these figures needs tuning....... It doesnt happens by just installing it........ Then, it also depends the condition of the cars......

Horsepower is just a figure for dummies.....most importantly is how you feel about you car....

 

can u add octane booster then ? any side effects ?
