Magentic Reverse Sensor

hi folks,

anyone installed the holeless reverse sensors? Those that stick a strip of magnectic sensor onto the reverse of the rear bumper... is it good? Also what is the price and where to install... thanks!

As long as magnet not strong enuff to pull car towards railing and smashing back windscreen(On Stomp now), I think it is good.

i've got the magnetic reverse sensors on my car..

the distance it senses isn't as far as the drilled ones so when it starts beeping, you know you are pretty close. So when you use this, you gotta be a little more careful. Check the instructions which comes with the box, it will tell you the rough distance for the beeps. I would tell you, but i've forgotten

The beeping is also not as sharp, and personally, i think that sounds better. I would call it more like a chime rather than a beep actually.

Also, one thing about the beeping is that when you are too far for the sensor to sense anything, ie, over for example 2m away from the wall.. the reverse sensor doesn't beep unlike the drilled ones which start beeping no matter how far you are away from anything.

mine also has an "engaged" chime when i put my gear into reverse. goes "di du di" or "ti tu ti" something like that.. haha..

Yes. Very misleading right? Beeping sound even though there's no reverse sensor! Imagine if you loan someone else your car and he/she reverses it right into the wall because of the beeping!

harharh... oh ... i was the stupid one who thought the car came with the reverse sensor and almost crash onto the wall when parking!! .. feel so silly after that.. harhar

so anyway to disable the beeping.. cannot imagine after installing the reverse sensor, there will be 2 sets of beeping...

I have the same type as the one Seraph has. Given by the PI. just 2 words to describe... IT SUCKS!

It doesnt sense properly at all. After complaining, the installer told me frankly he has received many complaints from other users. Probably Seraph is the only lucky one.
