Loss of use

Hi Bros,

Got some questions regarding accident claims to seek your advice. My previous cars, agent settle everything for me, no need to worry...but MM in this aspect is no good.

Got bang from behind by a cab a couple of months back. Now received the insurance compensation note. Loss of use for our 8 is $50 a day, max they can go is $60.

Is this the normal rate u guys get? Also, if do u guys claim loss of income if u have to take leave to send in and collect the car?

Thanks.

1.3L is a 2-edged sword. Cheaper road tax but also less claim for loss of use. Personally, I don't plan on claiming much loss of use, so I just wanna enjoy the lower road tax.

Agree on your point. Double-edge sword.

For cash settlement, the loss of use is within the region, ie sub $60 per day. as insurance co. categorise their payout vis a vis with the insured's engine capacity.

Unfortunately, the insurance premium is not inline with our engine capacity... *sigh* Wish the lose of use is relative to the amount of premium we pay... but alas.
