Looking for RX8 (manual) in Singapore
Hi guys,
I'm sincerely looking for a RX8, either 5MT or 6MT, in Singapore. Anyone selling his ride pls let me know their offer.
Or anyone know where I can find a good dealer (authorised or PI), pls let me know as well since I might be considering getting a new car as well.

there was 1 from MM advertised on Sat's papers and theyr quoted 84K for Jan 05 car.

try buying a brand new 92k 210hp car and run along a 230hp 6MT.
Of cos, if u decide not to mod ur car and drive it stock, no difference. If u decide to mod even the slightest bit of the car, wld suggest u get only the 6MT, regardless 230hp or 250hp. The hp figures are from the crank anyway, not accurate.
Theres nothing much to mod for the 5MT.

I thought i can easily mod up the 5MT as well???
Another question which trouble me is the 6MT close ratio. I afraid the ratio is too close that if bringing this car to drifting, it would be very hard to maintain long drift for bigger corner with 2nd gear.
Thanks for all the clarifications. I still can't make up my mind to take 5MT or 6MT bcoz of the price difference.
Any info or input will be appreciated.

bro, either he didn't like your face or he must be damn fickled minded, coz I just call him and he quoted 86K.....2K more than when I spoke to him on Sat

I have to agree with coupe 07 .... dun just look at the hp for 5MT and 6MT rx8 .... in fact there are a lot of diff between the 6 MT and the 5MT .... go only for the 6MT if you are looking for a manual RX8 ....Period!!!

Smaller brakes, which may not be an issue to u.
The greatest different is the hp gain if u do the same mod to the 5MT compared to the 6MT. If price is really an issue to u, then yes, get the 5MT. If wat u wan is to mod n mod, then look no further. grab the 6MT.

I also called the dealer on Sat, and he told me that he was offered 85k and he was thinking of letting it go at 85k.

I was planning to get the 5MT and mod it up (maybe FI).
u r right, the brake is not an issue since i'm not happy with the 6MT brake as well. Should atleast get a 4 pot for it.
Ya, price is really an issue to me. Was planning to get the 5MT and pump in a few k to mod it up to gain more hp and torque over the 6MT. But this is not quite possible according to what u said.

i'm new to drifting as well.
has done a lot of research whether RX8 can drift. But seems it's hard to do so bcoz of the low torque.
not many professional drifter using RX8 to drift, only a few and they swap in a turbo charged 13B into the RX8 to drift.
