i have an 8 but wont be taking it to korea with me soo sad.

 

does anyone know how much an RX8 would cost there? I'm thinking of taking my RX8 there. The taxes alone for importing it are stupid. But if I can sell the car there for a good price, it'll totally be worth it.

 

I have my RX-8 with me here in Korea. I've only seen 1 other one in the year that I've been here. For some reason Mazda is in EVERY Asian country except for Korea. You can take your care here but it will be impossible to get parts or repair out here other than very basic things. I've been told by 2 different repair shops (that specialize in foreign) that they won't touch these cars because they can't get parts here and they don't have any technical service manuals or experience with any Mazda's let alone a Rotary.

BTW...I used my SOFA status to get my car imported tax free

 

I also want to mention that yes....your Mazda will be worth a lot out here since they are not sold out here and are extremely rare.

 

That is the club. I am Korean but living in Philippines. That site is largest RX8 club in Korea. More RX8 in Korea than Philippines.

 

I can't read Korean so that page is useless for me.

I'm in Seoul (Yongsan). BTW I'll be selling my RX8 soon. I ordered a new Volvo. Know anyone who wants to buy one? Mine is Silver.

Well I noticed it's been a while since somebody posted anything on here,

I live in seoul, got my 8 here , I've only seen like 2 here, but long time ago... so most likely if you've seen a silver rx8 in yongsan thats me.... I have no hope to find a club here,other than Kia or Hyundai LOL.... although I found this shop called Aurora Racing Team and they got 3 S14s, and gave me a little feeling of real auto tunning.

 

I'm with 04 winning blue US version 6speed manual. As far as I know, there are about 30~40 rx8 lhd and rhd both in Korea.
