Interested in New rx8clubsingapore forum?

Hey Singaporeans!

I believe some of u hv already seen new forum started in malaysia. I find it quite cool leh.

Basically the forum helps to group event pics, localised accessories & workshops, contacts etc & will record events history of S'pore's 8s. It's a Heritage preservation thingy IMO.

Me IT iliterate so dun noe how it works to setup a forum but bros from malaysia forum is offering assistance if we are interested.

So tot of doing a poll here to gather the interest level & discuss the adv & dis-adv of havin own forum.

Issues such as legal matters, maintenance of forum, costs & fees, rules & regulations, moderators etc...

Things may or may nt work out but at least information can be gathered for future options.

Cheers!

i think it's good given the reasons provided by lonewolf. only thing is that we would have a lot left behind (previous discussions) in this forum, which cannot be moved to the new forum.

to raise funds/cover costs for the initial setup, maybe we can print T-shirts, decal, personalised Cashcard with the new web addy.

i can get Monster Garage to sponsor towards setting up the forum...

i have been campaigning this since donkey years, but havent been really into getting this started. Since now the newbies are getting all this hot up again, its time for all those things again:

1. Mega meetups
2. RX8 decals
3. RX8 t-shirts or polo tees
4. our very own forum and everyone to join
5. Our very own admin and moderators

Of cos, i need plenty of support for this, like designers for decals and tees. Other things else.

Setting up of forum, i have IT guys as well. However like i say we ned the quantity from the bulk here to migrate to the new local forum. If you guys are agreeable, lets sit down and have a formal meeting.

Its high time we start the rx8 trend again, juz like the good old days 2 yrs ago..

I am all for this!!!.
I still remember when before I decided i buy the 8, I have come to this forum so often to gather due diligence and information. And everyone here have been helpful eager to give assistance.

Yes to a new local forum. It will certainly benefit our small community and encourage future potential 8 owners as well.

but to make the whole thing work, we need a lot of support and spontaneous-ity from all members....

and we need to keep it going, becos the rx8 community is very small, as compared to others common make... which is why we need to keep it going...

No worries, we'll keep it going. As long as we have well planned events and regular activities, we should be able to keep people's interest in the club. I am happy to contribute to this.

If I may add,

The local forum for Malaysian owners started off with a handful of owners, but now it has a lot lot more. At first most informations was linked to this forum, and it still does, though the local forum now has it's own information contributed by members.

From this section, most of the new threads and postings are by owners from SG, and I don't see a reason why your local forum won't thrive and succeed. Best of luck guys.
