Integrated Car Audio - Bose?

I'm new at this car audio thing, so not very sure what I should look out for. Basically I'll need a head unit (with proper fm tuner not like the one I have), 6-disc changer, subwoofer and maybe speakers (not sure how many there are currently in my current factory setup). Won't be getting an amp cos I need every bit of space I can get in the boot. Any shops to recommend?

Personally I hate all the steering wheel controls, including the paddle-shift. Coz there was once, while executing a turn, I tried to turn down the volume, I cant find the buttons as it was turning with the steering.
