To install Fog Lamps or not?
Would it be better to request the fog lamps be installed from stock or do it locally after getting the 8? Someone mentioned to me before that it is not a good idea to install fog lamps at all because it blocks the air in take, how true is that? Anyone can advise?

Nope, prob no body kit for me. Yah I know that the fog lamps dont come standard it is not so modular to install. Getting it more for asthetic reasons rather than for practical use. Better for me to request it from stock then?

Really depends bro. For my previous ride, having foggies r for aesthetic. then i realise that when i change my headlight to white bulb, i need to change the colour of the bulb for my foggies as well!!! cas i cant stand the having different colours for the 'front light cluster' (i.e. white headlight, yellow pole light and foggies, u 'll see them quite often in our local road and imo, it s**ks). As such, additional cost are incurred and the best thing is, u dont get to use them often. Haizzz. Well, the 1st thing wen i got my 8, i've changed my HID to 8K bulbs and ofcourse, my pole light to white as well
As for the 8, i personally tink its nicer w/o the foggies. and yes, the position of the foggies r smacked in the middle of ur oil cooler's air path. Whether ther is ani repercussion, i'm not sure though.....

Fogs?
Aiyah... just buy the fog lamps. Why bother with the rest of the car?
Just hold up the fog lamps and pretend the rest of your arms & legs are the rims and your body the equivalent of the beautiful curves of the 8. We did this all the time when we were kids...
As for airflow issues, I highly doubt if a set of fogs will affect the car. It generates enough heat. Cant imagine it being even worse.
The solution for this is to drive as fast as possible all the time to ensure at least sufficient airflow into the radiator & rest of engine.
Spend your money on high quality UV/IR window tinting. V-Cool or 3M. Best value for money for the 8 esp if you are getting a dark coloured car.
