Looking at the 6AT model. Any feed back on that.
so which PI can i look for? reliable one.
What is those cash rebate thing i see in their Ad?

If any of you selling your 6AT at yr end can let me know.
what is the pro and con of geting 1st or 2nd hand?

The 6AT is not bad. Actually I never driven the 6MT, 5MT or 4AT before. So I cant give a comparison the the other 3 models. But I can tell you my opinion and why I like the car!

The car is zippy, and power to overtake is available. Making city driving a breeze. And being an AT, life is so much better when traffic is heavy. Driving this car can get hy, man!! In semi auto mode, u can use either the paddle shift or shift it at the directional auto stick. To get more BHP, you can go to Garage R or Monster Garage. A great looking car that make passer-by drool. It aint fast as compared to many other sports car on the road.

Hi there,

for a 1st time car buyer, you've definitely made a hell of choice! This is infact one of the best looking car on the street with reasonable amount of power to match the look (of course it will be better if it comes with an additional 100BHP) ha ha ha.

I totally agree with the convenient of the AT thingy but kind of regret that I was not patience enough to wait for the 6MT. IMHO, it is more fun and "raw" to handle a MT rx8 with lots of performance potentials.

Nevertheless, for a 1st time car owner, it is more than enough to start with a 215bhp and absolutely safer to manage a AT. But, do not ignore the fact that it is a rear wheel drive hence got to be real careful when negotiating bends.

No PIs are deemed as "Reliable", it sometimes seriously depends on your luck and off cos you should do some serious shortlisting. Even agents can deemed as not reliable to some consumers. Just make sure you get everything on paper and scrutinize every detail prior to signing. That way, non-reliability can be prevented to most extends.

New 8: you'll be covered with warranty. (In any case of defects or non road worthiness issues, you can get at someone)

Used 8: you've got be really lucky to meet someone that takes real good care of his/her ride and most importantly, truthful about the history of the ride. My advise, prepare a deeper pocket just in-case some unexpected problem crops up (for used 8 without warranty)

Wishing you all the best in pursue of an 8!!!

Cheers

Everybody are somebody...
too bad i'm not a rich somebody....
that why still planning & budget for the 8.

you mean rx8 is not for fun?

then why should one get a car that runs only 5-9km/l?
its the power & fun factor that attract me to a rx8
i like the Fun factor, handling, cornering, mid-high speed performance, and looks of the 8.

Selling RX8 MT (from MM), warranty until apr08.

Hi,

I'm selling my RX8 Manual which I bought from Mazda Motors in Apr/May 2005. It has 36k mileage and is well kept. It is such a pleasure to drive and I'm regretting leaving the country and having to sell it.

I bought it at 134k, and am happy to sell for 85k. If anyone's interested, please let me know, I need to settle this really quickly...

thanks,

microbe

Wah.. not sure of budget oso no need to lowball the fella juz because he needs to settle the sale soon Just over 2 years, he already drop almost $50K from the price he bought and you still want another $10K discount. Wish both of you all the best in your respective sale and purchase.
