How much do you pay for a 6SPD manual RX8?

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and am thinking of changing my current ride to an RX8. Just checked the price for a 6 Spd Manual RX8 from MM and it is going at $131K.

What i am interested to know is how much are you guys paying for ur 8 monthly and with what amount of downpayment.

Although i like the car a lot, still need to check out the financial aspect.

Anyway help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

this issue is very subjective...

it all depends on:
1) How much u put on your downpayment

2) How many years of loan u intend to take up

3) the interest rate on the loan you take up

from wat I have gathered, most are paying ard +/- $1k on their mthly installment...

If i give u incorrect info... there will be a lot of kind brotas to correct me :p

think what you need is a loan calculator.

monthly installment = [LA*( IR%*N + 1)] / [N*12]

LA - Loan Amount
IR - Flat interest rate
N - No of Years

i pump 1 and half times each week on average..... each time is $100 (current petrol price) before station discount.

based on current petrol price is 150 x 4 = 450 each month, less 10% now = $405 on average. Could be more, could be less, depending on wat type of job u do, how heavy ur foot, wat type of route u normaly take and many other factors...

So paiseh... hijack your thread without posting a proper reply :p I guess how much you spend on petrol depends on how much driving you do and the way you drive. Do you keep track of how many KMs you drive in a month or in a year? It would help to calculate how much to factor for petrol every month. The way you drive, the type of driving (city/highway) and the type of car affects the fuel consumption (FC) but you can use a conservative average of 7km/l for a 6MT that you're looking to buy. Bare in mind, this is for normal driving. If you are a "spirited" driver or if your right foot is made of lead, better adjust it down accordingly. Anyway, take the average number of KMs you drive in a month, divide it by 7 (or average FC) = the number of litres you will burn a month and multiply that by the prevailing rate for the type of fuel you use less any discounts that you may have. Ok, now I don't feel so bad for hijacking your thread. :D

regarding the petrol issue... shldn't u be asking wat is the avg petrol consumption?

those who travel more will most prob have higher petrol bill mar :p

well, for me, my 6 speed manual gives me 7 to 7.4 km per litre. As i run in e car, i can cover more distance with 1 litre.

Maybe when u drive u might achieve higher distance with 1 litre than moi cos I'm quite heavy with my pedal at times... as wat the brotas in the forum always suan me... i'm P PLATE!!!! that also explains y i'm heavy on my petal

Wah!!!! P-plate can afford RX8...... Me how........... bang wall better. So how high is ur insurance har??? for a P-plate to drive a RX8.

BTW, i already have a rough idea of the consumption. That's y i ask how much is the average cost per month for users. need to know the amount instead of how much petrol is used.

BTW, i dont drive an RX8, at least not yet till i figure out the financial side of things. haha

sigh...remember the good old rule.

1) ladies first (just like the boss is always right)
2) There is no rule no 2 (Refer to rule no.1)

Just like what my OC always says " I'm right...you're wrong". I LPPL

makes no diff whether Q or dun Q rite.
