HKS Rotary Oil

A tech from one of the MM authorised garages advised me against using it for some reason and said to stick with just the normal mineral oil. But then again - it might just be the fact that they did not have any HKS rotary engine oil and wanted me to use his instead.

Anyone using this? How long have you used it for? Any adverse / positive effects?

Thanks in advance.

I have been switching between HKS's rotary, Trust and regular mineral. I personally find the rotary oils better a drive. Like skating on ice sort of feeling. As for long term effect, I can't really tell yet. Only got 25,000+kms on the car.

Same here, although I've never used mineral, and have only used HKS once when my friendly neighbourhood autoparts store didn't have Trust. Didn't feel or see much of a difference between the two, save for a slight improvement in gas mileage when I was on HKS. For convenience, I prefer Trust, as it comes in 5L cans so I need to just buy one, compared to two if I use HKS as it comes in 4L cans. If they had Knight Sports, RE-Amemiya or Royal Purple here I'd definitely use one of those.
