Grounding for RX8
Hi,
I wondering how many points are needed for grounding? Heard that grounding indirectly improve FC? |
for old cars maybe will improve fc but new cars..u prob wont feel it. are u a weight trainer? can train me or not? kekeke

I am not a personal trainer but I'm a three time bodybuilding Champion :wink2: I have retired since 2005... so now smaller size... Hahaha....

The resistance had dropped to .4 ohm! 1/10 the original resistance. http://www.mazdamaniac.com/images/rx8/ground/08.jpg Then I measured he resistance on the other since of the chassis. It was down to .5 ohm. This dropped the resistance across the accesible parts of the front of the engine block from .4 ohm to .2 ohm. http://www.mazdamaniac.com/images/rx8/ground/alt.jpg Last, I hooked up a wire to the plate to which the coils are mounted. I used the open mounting point where the part of OEM wiring harness used to be. As far as I can tell, the idle is more stable - it now sits squarely at 820 RPM without the usual 50 RPM wander. Hitting my fan on switch (I had wired a switch that allows me to turn the fans on full at any time - you would be surprised how stingy the PCM is with the fans in the OEM configuration. Here in the desert, they really need to be on all of the time), I noted NO drop in RPM. The load used to take the RPM down a notch as the alternator (generator) fought to keep up. Whether any of this produces any more power I can't say. However, I would imagine that is things are easier for the generator, there should be less loss. Also, making it easier for the coils to fire can't hurt. I'd post a DIY, but since you can't put pictures in the DIY section, why bother. From the above testing , we know that grounding does work and help. properly done 8 pts grounding can help to 1) remove air static charges 2) stablize electrical 3) head/rear light brighter 4) speedometer light more stable 5) air-con cooler. 6) ICE lesser noise/ clear projection 7) smoother pick up 8) morning time, easiler to start the car 9) and finally Vibration will be reduced so that RX8 driver can increase engine mount life span longer. Although per mount is few hundreds... For those who are driving auto/manual drivers please get this done. It is a cheap/maintainfree enhancement to your Rotary engine. I think he did much a better job. :ylsuper: He just did 8 pts grounding and a voltage stabilizer (VS) for my RX8 at my house this morning. I can feel and hear the engine running much more smoother. Later in the evening, I am taking my 8 for a ride and I'm expecting a much smoother ride.
He (Jason) has done grounding for my previous ride, Suzuki Swift. Since then the car rides smoothly... You can ask him the benefit of grounding and the VS. I am convinced by his explanation and justification. So Bro, when are you going to do the cold air intake for me? I will wait till you are free. |

I dunno bout anyone else but the wires seem to be protruding everywhere...very untidy leh. but if u are happy tat is all that matters..is it not?

That setting is from overseas. Mine is done by Jason and it is so much neater. I have VS on top of the battery as well. The wiring is already so neat and it is even neater when it is cover up by all the "engine covers" (I don't know what they are).
