Good News On Oil Burn!!!
Hi Guys,
Just to update you guys.
I've been using Mobil 1 since oil changed at 1000km.
Now, my car has reaches 4000km....Guess What!!!
I've checked every 1000km since then....never top up any oil & dip stick still shows oil level at the HIGH Mark!!!
Mobil 1 (5W50)....
Might be trying Castro RS Racing (10W 60) on my next oil change.
Anyone using Mobil 1??? Are U getting the same result.
Smiling......Long Live to Synthetic...
Cheers

Sounds good.
4,000 kms... thats double mine! Damn, I haven't been driving my 8 enough! Anyhow, checked mine last week abt 1000 km after first service, oil is still at slightly below the full mark. I'm using the HKS rotary oil, 10w-40. Supposedly low-ash but its also a synthetic.

Same here. Changed to HKS synthetic rotary oil 10W40 at 1000km, now >2000km. Imperceptible oil consumption.
Most impressed with the clean oil on the dip stick every time I looked. I reckon rotary engine's lubrication circuit is cleaner because there are no valves, cams, camshafts, rockers, rods, reciprocating mechanisms in the crankcase, etc.
