Getting a 6 Speed Auto rx8 from PI

guys i am seriously considering getting a rx8
i like everything about it, the way it looks, its NA engine, the 4 door coupe concept, the 6 speed auto gearshift, and very importantly the price.

its going for about 85k in Singapore not including insurance and loan interest after rebate at most parallel importers.

but what me n my dad are most worried about is the after-purchase servicing. Many people are telling me not to get car from parallel importer coz they basically sell u the car and abandon you, which means if something happens to my car ill be in deep trouble. is that true? can anyone in Singapore share their experiences after purchase from PI regarding servicing and warranty?

i want to get it from mazda themself but then they only have manual, whilst i want a 6 speed auto. Please help. Maybe recommend me a reputable PI dealer that wont pangseh or chop their customers for warranty/servicing in the future?

help help..

Actually not all PI are unreliable...it all depends on whether u can find the right
one or not...

I got my car from a PI as well...n so far i have nothing but gd comments abt
them...the delivery was on time, they give me the some additional stuff that i
wanted...n they were ready to help when i told them my radio doesn't work...
but i juz didn't have enough time to make my way down n fix the radio...

Anyway, gd luck for ur purchase...hope u'll get ur dream car soon...

Dont think you can get 6sp AT for $85k... thats the price for a basic (very basic) 4AT I think. As for PI, do a search. This question has been raised before and all your answers are there.

haha i wish i could bro. but my dad'll rather buy me a 325i than a rx8. some old school continental car > jap car mentality. i need a good and reliable deal to convince him!

i think most probably 85K is without COE.

Plus COE is another 13K.

At yr age, the insurance is going to go thru the roof like 3K plus n 3K excess.
Better to put the insr. under yr dad's name.

if u want reliable PI then go Garage R lor.

85K is possible. Take 10 years full loan with sky high interest.

End of day. LPPL.

I heard that there are many purchase schemes, ranging from 3.5% - 4.25% interest rates.. looks like many of the PIs are toying with the price tag

I thought I saw WOW posted prices of the 6AT higher than MM's 6MT? i.e. ~$116K? If you can really get the 6AT at $85K, that's already a big reason to get it compared to the 325i.

Yep thats abt right.

For me PI no headache go to Garage R or WOW. Why dont u consider manual? Its a very diff car from auto. I think u can consider used RX8 (theres a manual from MM available) that u can drive and have peace of mind until u have experience and clocked the necessary mileage.

Sorry if I offend u.

Cheers
