Gay Car
I just knew it! You guys are all gay! ......Not that I have anything against it.
THE gays of Australia have voted the Audi TT Roadster as their choice for the inaugural Gay Car of The Year- Peoples choice.
The Audi TT Roadster topped the voting registering almost a quarter of the votes cast at the GAYAZ Expo which was held at the Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Buildings on May 21-23. The Mazda RX8 came a close second.
The 10 contenders were displayed over the three days of the GAYAZ Expo which attracted 13,000 people. Close to 10 per cent of those attending voted for the award.
The 10 contenders for the award were Audi Allroad, Audi A4 Cabriolet, Audi TT Roadster, Mazda RX8, Mazda3 SP23, Mitsubishi Outlander, Ford Territory TX AWD, Ford Fiesta, Holden Monaro CV8 and Holden Astra Convertible.
Melbourne motoring journalist David McCarthy who organized the award said that he wanted to follow up on the success of last years MCV Queer Car of The Year Award (which was won by the Mazda RX8) by giving the public the opportunity to vote in their own award.
MCV, which has had a motoring section for four years, is Melbourne’s leading Gay and Lesbian free to street newspaper.
Mr McCarthy said "I thought it would be a style thing, but it wasn't. People were really getting into it.
“In a way they voted with their heart, but they also asked for information. They wanted to know about fuel economy, resale value and the other cost-of-ownership details.
“Many of those who voted were appreciative of the fact that manufacturers were prepared to display their vehicles in a predominantly gay and lesbian environment."

Eh? I thought the Audi TT and the VW Beetle were the gayest? (Both VW cars... maybe Hitler's one ******** had something to do with this.)
IMO: Our dear 8 only shows that we are all SNAGs (New Age Sensitive Guys) which is far & away from being gay. Metrosexuals in my opinion are more queer and really are closet gays!

3. This is not a flame war site, so please do not engage in such. No distinction will be made between the instigator and those who merely participate.
4. Personal attacks against other forum members will not be tolerated, nor will any type of "trolling" for a fight. This includes political attacks, slurs, or sneering at any viewpoint or political party.
5. No racist, homophobic, or misogynistic remarks, including derogatory slang, be it overt or covert, will be tolerated.
6. Be respectful. This is harder to define, but will be moderated. An example would be disrespecting RX-8 owners who chose an automatic transmission over a manual, and "sneering" at them or acting like they're idiots for the choice they made. If a moderator believes you are being purposefully disrespectful to a fellow member, you will be notified. Bashing for the sake of bashing will not be tolerated.
7. Don't make slanderous accusations. If you have a problem with another member or business, and cannot prove it absolutely, don’t bring in into the forum. It could be treated as grounds for a lawsuit if you do. Provide your proof in any such posts. Post with accusations but no proof will be deleted, and the poster will be notified. If your beef is over a purchase/sales experience, we have an area of the forum devoted to that, the "Good Guy/Bad Guy" forum.
8. No sexually explicit material, nudity, or graphic violence are to be posted. The rule of thumb is that if it's something you wouldn't see on network TV, don't post it. The forum strives to maintain a welcoming and family type atmosphere for its members. Any attempts, overt or covert, to undermine this goal will not be tolerated.

Title....
Was going to change the title to, maybe "Girlie Car", until I checked the content - the gay spokesguy refers to himself/they both as gay and queer.
Self applied 'labels' are OK, whatever, the rules only apply to 'phobic comments - if we keep it descriptive and take the subject in the way it was intended.....
Phobes and Haters will not be ignored.

Life's just too full of rules... bleh!
On the other hand... simple advice: just make sure no one here picks up that bar of soap in their local gym shower. May make getting in their 8 eve a bit more painful.

Here in the states the gayest car is the Saturn Sky, the most looked up car on gay.com, or something like that.
Hey, look at it this way, gals love the 8 also, so this just doubles your chances of getting a date for Saturday night!
