Dear all, by now u all shld know that the regulars of rx8 club meet regularly on most/all fridays nights and some saturdays nights. I always have to sms everybody due to all your pms to me, saying u wld turn up. But sad to say, u all always dun turn up. I'm actually tired of msging those that nvr turn up at all. Our meets are always thru sms. Why? becos most of u guys dun surf rx8club forums everyday, and i mean EVERYDAY, so to keep u guys informed, we do thru sms for the ease of the forummers. and always, our meeets are confirmed at the last minute. Sad to say, this is not appreciated. Since it is never ever gg to be appreciated, then sorry, dats it. U guys shall not be informed thru sms. I'm sorry to say this, but pls understand that i'm doing a thankless job.

U guys can see how many pple contacts i have. If i have to send out to u guys everyweek, u all can imagine how much my bills each month. I'm not sponsored, all self paid. ALthough i dun mind the bills, i'm starting to feel a bit sianz when u guys dun turn up. U all may ask, wat do we do when we meet? we tok ****, tok cars, see cars, tok modifications, go for rounding, test wat ur car can do, go for suppers. It has become more of a frens meet than a car club meet and we hope to move in that direction as well. All in the name of safety and fun. trust me, no one can tell u how fun it is unless u come down urself. Sad to say, we dun have roundings everytime becos i cannot please everybody. Some want, some dun wan. But when we do have roundings, its bound to thrill. Ask those who went before, they always come in the hope to round, but spore is small, round here round there, its only that few places.

Having said all that, again, no, i'm not angry or TL. so if u see ur name appear in the worng place and feel offended, i'm sorry, i may have wronged u. But u can always step out to clarify. I'm always ready to accept criticisms if any.


Thos who are still hesitant in joinging us, i jus cun tell u enuf that we are very frenly and young (young at heart for some)... join us to noe lah..... we have hokkien speaking (all the hokkien soldiers including me), the english flik flak ones, chinese speakers and the chapalangs. Anything goes. No need to feel shy!!

everytime i ask pple to post in the forum, they dun wan. They say if they post response will be lukewarm. C'mon man, dun feel shy to post. heres nothing to be shy about. Make ur thread creative and eye catching, i'm sure pple will come in and participate. Tok **** inside oso good. Right?

One suggestion. Why note just post a thread about meet-ups and stop sms-sing people.

I will come down sooner or later when schedule fit. Hopefully next week.

Yup, bro coupe07 is right! Since we kinda nominated him to help coordinate our meet-ups and events, please lend him your support and make it easier for him. If you are always not free to join us for meets, please don't ask him to SMS you everytime we meet-up. It's easier for you to SMS him when you are free to join us since you know that we usually meet on Friday nights and sometimes on Saturday nights too.

Once again, let me stress that he is not someone who is petty or stingy. It just doesn't feel good to keep SMSing people who constantly never show up and some don't even reply his SMS. Don't abuse his goodwill in helping to coordinate and keep us informed of meet-ups.

Bro, thanks for all your help so far. You know you can count on the "sign-on" people to help whenever you need, so please feel free to ask. Yes, I think future big or small meets, just SMS the regulars and start a thread to inform the rest as soon as the details are confirmed (the earlier the better). Maybe those super small "hardcore" meets during the weekdays then dun need to post here.

I understand that the meetings are set just 1day or 1/2 day before fri night. Love to join in the fun but I can't cos I need more time to arrange to be avalible during that time. (i'm a family man)

Thats why I only turn up for those meets which are preset at least 1 week before .

Understood coupe and many thanks for your efforts, but please take me off yer sms list. For sure I'm going to join the meets once in a while, but I'll sms you when I'm free to see if a Friday night or Sat night meeting is on. Also, I agree with Emperor about posting a short note on the board to indicate if a meet is on.

Also, to Daverx, any more Sunday meets? Those are good too

posting a thread abt meetups.... yes, we will do juz dat starting from next week, last minute or not.....

but this will post a problem as well.... wat if there is changes in meetup place at the dot of time, like dat time at kallang we change to east coast? or wat if those pple turn up late and we oredi moved off? but anyway, that is once in a blue moon.

sms will still continue, but only among the "signed-on" pple..... the rest, pls indicate.

1 week in advance is a bit hard to schedule the meet...... will try to post meet asap in the week, but WE ALWAYS meet on fridays and saturdays.... like i said, more of a frens meet than a car meet oredi....

like yesterday supper was impromptu, but quite a few cars turn up as well!! we even went for rounding and er.......... inconvenient to tell... but it was great fun though....

Hi Coupe, kudos to you for really putting in the effort everytime. I can't say how much you made the difference and how important you are in this small but growing community we have here.

Unfortunately, as a poor single guy still hoping to find love in this small Singapore, most of my wkends are busy still searching for the right one otherwise I'll be left on the shelf with my car. Haa... :p

I do appreciate your effort. I would suggest that those that are interested in joining the meets SMS you instead of you sms-ing them. Thanks for SMS-ing me in the past. In future, if I can make it, let me SMS you instead to save you the cost. Also, I do check the forum regularly so if there are major meets, I'll try to attend. Hopefully next time will be like you guys and go with a gf. Hee....

a post on the forum will serve the best means for meet ups. i am also one of the flying kids and sometimes it is not that easy to get internet overseas due to jet lagged or simply 'sian'.
i have attended the meet up only once and it is like what you have said.

I agree with SQflyer. We should lend our support to coupe07 and make things easier for him. Sending SMS to so many people everyweek can get very lechey. And as what coupe07 said, if people turn up and show support, at least his work and effort is appreciated, but if not, it becomes a thankless job. Lets not take our bro coupe07 for granted. Lets all help him out by making his job easier and lighten his load.
