Enquiries on RX8(A) in SG
Hi RX8 owners in SG,
It may have been asked many times before, but I cant find some of the answers here.
I have the following queries and hope some brothers here can enlighten me.
1. Any problems encountered so far for RX8(A)?
2. How is the maintenance of the car like ? every 5k? rough cost ?
3. How much is the insurance for a 32 yrs old, 50%NCD ? rough figure will help.
4. What is the fuel consumption like ? 6-8km per litre ?
5. Is there problem getting spare parts for RX8(A)?
6. How is the leg and head space at the rear ?

Ace, I drive an AT.
(1) Only issue I have with my AT is the vibration when stopping at the lights in 'D'...no impact but irritating. One of the forum member is waiting to change the engine mounts. I'm waiting for his update before I plunge in.
(2) I change my oil and filter every 4k or so. Using Shell mineral. Just changed my plugs last month at 15k milage to Denso Iridium ones. Not much maintenance so far except fot he countless hours n money for wash/polish as my 8's black.
(3) I'm 35yo paying $1800 with 10%NCD. 50% NCD should get u ard $1100.
(4) I get average of 350km per 50l...that should work out like 7km/l. Combo of city n highway travel.
(5) Haven't tried looking. Perhaps other bros in the forum can advise.
(6) Head n leg room is quite good for a coupe as compared to celica, tuscani or Integra. Although the suicide doors require the front door to be opened prior, its still better than having to fold the front seats. But if u intend to ferry NBA players in the back, the 8 is out of the question.
