Hi All

Just wanna know, when u start revving hard, do u have the smell of something like fumes or engine oil in the car? I have that smell whenever i rev hard. But when i cruise or accelerate slowly, i can be going at 130 but there is no smell. Is this normal? What is the cause? Will appreciate if you have similar experiences or have any answers. Thanks!

 

bro, if u car new? or did u juz swap ur exhust system? coz it will be like that when ur car is new or ur exhust is new... dun worry... also if im not wrong, rotary burns engine oil.. its normal... juz rem to check ur engine oil once in a while...

 

is the gear engage during your high reving? or in neutral, if gear engage most likely is your
clutch burn smell

 

Thanks bros for your advice. My car is auto, so it will not be the clutch. However, it is only 4 months old, so, as hellangel said, it is due to it being a new car. But, will the smell go away eventually? Or will it always be there?

this is normal. when i rev hard i also smell the sweet atf and mine is 1.5yrs

It's more like BO. That's what my daughter says. And I said it's not me !

eh its sweet lor unless ur BO is sweet lolz... its smells nice la.. but when u revv to high smells like burn smell.. thats from the exhust i think... lol
