Thumbs up DSC on 4AT?

Hello guys, I need advice from the experts here....
Can we install a dsc device (aftermarket or originals) on the 4AT? So far only the 6MT comes with it....
Pricing and location recommendations greatly appreciated!

Would also like to add on this query on what DSC is for? As in when do you really feel what it is doing for the car, when cornering? higher speed? how about normal driving?

Thanks blackjack.... your answer is probably accurate... which also means that the rest of the 99.9% of 4ATs doesnt have DSC...

As to what DSC is for, I must be honest unlike some guys who probably brag here... My driving skills aren't as good as perhaps half of the guys here... cos I almost lost control of my car twice on 1st gear! I was quite freaked out when the car oversteered and pointing to the the pedestrians! DSC is an electronic device that prevents the car from skidding... I think..

So anyone out there that actually installed a DSC device after purchase? or knows somebody who knows somebody that can install it on the RX8??? Cheers.

Funny... Some will be awed by that ability.... "losing control twice". Coz I have seen some people tried the entire night trying to lose control but can't! End up the car go round and round like merry-go-round.

hahaha. nice one SilverZ (you dont happen to drive a 350z, right?) I "lost control" on stock tyres, 225s.. easy.. accelerate to 7k from standstill into a corner.. back tyres lose traction easily, and wheeee...

But didnt happen for my new 255s rear with better tyres.. but still didn't find it fun considering the amount of $$ spent.. I'll rather play drifting with a 2nd car, something like AE86 perhaps...

change out ur stock suspensions.......

DSC dun have aftermkt ones. Having said that, the 8 doesnt really lose control easily, unless ur alignment not done properly, or u are trying to do un-do-able stunts on stock setup.... Ask those who like to whack accelerator thru corners and u will noe how the 8 goes beautifully thru without much difficulty and of cos, not on stock suspensions at 7k rpm.....

If you reference off Garage R's detailed quotes, the DSC is only stated in the Type E model but not the basic. So I guess you prob only need DSC if you really want to do something extreme in the car and you prob won't be able to feel it if you are doing your normal driving to work?

Why do you need DSC when you gonna switch it off on track? LSD should be good enough.

u dun feel the diff cause u are not driving hard enough,y dun u try fast corners with DSC on and off, and i mean drive hard!!! i just came back from PG if u off your DSC with fast corners your car will sure turn 360, unless u are a pro driver then DSC is somehow not so useful.

Thanks everyone for your enthusiastic replies... CoupeM thanks for your info... I know your shop advised me to change my suspensions... but I'm lacking in vitamin M now... just bought a 15 grand watch...hehehe.. for future upgrades i find you yah.

Looks like my 4AT cannot add DSC.. like what CoupeM said.... I'm NOT a real driver la, cannot do drifting..I shall practice more on my ps3 ok... thus I need it.. quite scary when I feel the back tyres losing traction. I guess gotta change suspension next time (greddy right?)

Take care guys.. Drive safe. Cheerio.
