Cruise control for 6MT in Singapore?

Hi there everyone,
Anyone know or install a cruise control in their manual RX8? I realised the european version of RX8 comes with a cruise control and even the Aussie version gets it except the MM singapore version. I want to get one and just wondering any idea how much it is in Singapore ? I know in New Zealand one can get it but the problem is I am not sure if they sell it to non RX8 owner in New Zealand? Please advise......

the cruise control is for driving up north to Malaysia mate...... for a long drive of >6 hrs it is always good to have one and yes it does fit the manual.

Check this thread;

Cruise control

To my knowledge EU cars still don't have cruise, but I may be wrong (I couldn't find anything about cruise on the German website (most likely to have it if it is available), but my German is not so good so maybe I missed it).

I would try Australia if I were you, it is a much larger market than NZ and more likely to have the parts.

The logic for the cruise control is already in the PCM, you just need to activate it. Whether it can be activated by the dealer or not I don't know, the dealer will have to contact MC to find out. If you are driving a grey market car then MMS will probably only provide minimal support, so you would be better contacting the country your car is specified for.

Maybe you can get a wiring diagram off someone on this forum and inspect all the connectors with dotted lines around them that say "For vehicles with cruise control". If the wires for cruise control are in the actual connectors on your car, then you don't need a harness. You probably don't need a whole steering wheel either, only the switches...

Oh, and you need to check your instrument cluster for an indicator too (should be above the trip meter on a RHD). If that isn't there you might need another cluster as well (but I doubt it).

Good luck! This sounds expensive!
