Wedding convoy request on morning of 10 Sept 2005
 

Hi All,

I have a big request/favour to ask of you. I'll be getting married on 10 Sept (Sat) and would like to have a RX8 convoy. The convoy route will be between Siglap and Bukit Timah area. This is not a short distance, and I know that with the continue increase in petrol price, this is a big favour to ask. :o

This is my suggestion, for those who stay in the East, you can meet me at my place and convoy together up to my bride's place, for those who stay closer to the West, you can meet me at my bride's place and convoy back to my place. The convoy will end at my place. I hope to leave from my place by 9.30am and head back to my place from my bride's place by 10.15am. So those meeting me at my place should arrive by 9.20, and those joining the convoy from my bride's place should reach by 10.00am.

Lohsk, if you are available to film our convoy that morn, it'd be great. :D :D

BTW, all colours of RX8 are invited to join the convoy. I'm not superstitious. Black, white, grey, red, dark cherry mica (Shinka), yellow, pink, blue, silver, rainbow, all are welcome!

Erm... Dress code ar. I guess just smart casual or casual lor. If you wanna come out of car and join in photo taking, then you wear smart casual. If you only wanna stay in car and let your car do the talking, then you dress up your car. :D

:confused: how about all white plus a big cap (juz like typical driver) or u want all black suit bodyguards. :D :D

We actually wanted to get married in August coz that month is special to us. But we couldn't coz it was Lunar 7th month. So September is the next closest date lor...

Yes yes, the ang pow will definately cover the cost of petrol, even for our thirsty RX8 :D

Hi Genesis, of coz you can leave the convoy after arriving at my bride's place. Thanks for joining in the convoy and representing the Blues. And I'm ok with jeans. In fact anything goes lar. As long as you guys dun mind coming out of your car to take photos, just come out. Don't have to stay in your car even if you are not in smart casual wear. In fact, to me smart casual just means no shorts and singlet....

Thanks bro!! This is a much better turn out than I had expected :) Looks like I need to go withdraw more $ for the ang pows.... Or would you guys prefer me to buy dinner after I come back from my honeymoon? Or both? ;)

Anyways where are all of you joining in the convoy? From my place (siglap) or from my bride's place (bukit timah)?

Here's a recap on the moving off times and locations:

Date- Saturday 10 September

0905- Move off from Siglap
0940- Reach bride's place
0955- Move off from bukit timah and head back to Siglap
1030- Reach my place (end of convoy)

Everyone is free to leave the convoy during any stage. But please please please be on time for the move off times.

Oh yes! VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!! If you are tieing any "flower" ribbons, make sure there are ABSOLUTELY NO lose ends. Any lose ends flapping in the wind can end up scratching your paintwork around the door handles. Best is not to have any ribbons. Anyway, I think the convoy is already an awesome sight as it is. Nobody will notice the ribbons.

No ribbons... I had a black car once and it was all scratched by the ribbons.... When asked by the groom if everything was ok... lan lan have to smile and say "yes, perfect...".

no lah.. actually cos we were the only 2 rx8 that day and i wanted to see who is the other owner..... and wanted to ask u come to the rx8 forum... but seeing that u r a girl, i shy to approach..... moreover a guy was with u, lagi dun dare to walk over........ then heard u saying abt the number plate thingy......

but ultimately, its "I VERY SHY" one...... :D :D
