centre gearbox heated.

centre gearbox heated.

hello, just gotten my ride. just wanted to enquire if its common for u guys to experience a heated gearbox due to the axle running thru the centre of the car? is there anyway to insulate the heat? And also, whats the fc for your cars? mine is a auto version.

The heat is normal. If you are talking about insulating the heat emitting from the centre console (cup holder) then here's a link. I haven't got around to trying this myself but I will soon.

I use amaflex (left over from my previous sound proofing session) and it works quite well too.

Thane: Look at it from a positive side of life.... you now have a heater/ warming oven at the front of the console and a slightly inconvinient cupholders in the back. I keep my ice-blended coffees at the front section and leave eveything else in the back. Our drink warmer console is near perfect coz the damn ice-blendeds are tough to drink immediately.

I use my heater oven to keep bread and char siew pau warm when i buy breakfast. It is also useful when i buy fresh soya bean milk and need to keep it insulated.

hahaha, im facing this problem too, the centre console box is really hot, im afraid my sunglasses might melt. The bright side is maybe that my keys are always HOT.
