best mods so far

got some good mods that i want to share with you guys. If you guys who are using it....shiok right....those not, maybe you can try it. IT WORKS unlike some other mods.

Meguiar's High Gloss tyre shine - I've tried so many different kinds of tyre shine...some worked...some don't. Those that worked can't last 1 day..and those that don't....don't. However, this Meguiar works like a beauty. Quite thick to begin with, first application was already very good. I waited for it to dry up and then added a second gloss. wowee....once the gloss settled down...it was like using oil to coat the tyres man. Good stuff cannot bluff. Makes the car goes harder and faster (ok..i'm lying)..but it does make the car looks more wicked. Even at night, i can still see the glass effect.

How much is it you may ask? Giant supermarket is selling it for 16.90. Well worth the money i say and the extra ponies it adds to the car.

BUT WAIT....there's more!!!

How do you keep the all important cash card safe from prying eyes who snoop around our 8's? Introducing the RX8 I.U cover. It protects the card from being seen by others and the RX8 word on the cover itself acts as an reminder that you are driving the hottest car in the market.

WHERE CAN YOU GET IT? Mcwell Ventures is the place you should venture to if you are interested in this marvelous product. And it only cost you 9.90

Therefore...for less than $30, you have for yourself two of the best modifications you can apply to the 8 without voiding the warranty. It looks great, feels good(esp the tyre shine...car handles way better now) and of cause its affordable.

ok...enough of my crap.

These 2 products are just something i find that are pretty good to have. So i thought i'll let everyone know.

Never never use any tyre shine thingy. Why?

Those tyre shines do look nice. However, they will make your tyres lose grip at corners. Why?

When you are driving, be it day or night, your tyres tend to heat up and those tyre shines will actually seep down to your tyre surface. There's when you lose grip bro.

Ha ha... thanks for giving me a reason not to shine my tires. Now I can slack off with a good reason and not feel guilty (not that I do anyway). Thanks bro... :D

hmmm....but wouldn't driving it already make any of the shine that happen to seep to the surface dry/scrub off by itself by rubbing off the road? Not that the shine is constantly flowing to the tyre surface right...

Prehaps coupe07 is right....hiao factor.... this kinda stuff cannot be easily explained. Hiao is just....well....hiao. haha

The tyre shine will not seep until the tyres are heat up. And when it seeps to the surface of the tyres, then your tyres become greasy

yeah the tire shine really shine, but i recalled there was one problem: after application and some travelling the wax or liquid would splatter on the car body around the wheel. tried waiting for it to dry, not putting so much, etc didnt help. maybe mine was the old version... not sure. did you encounter the same problem or there is some way to do this?

took the car out for a spin after shining the tyre...seems ok. no signs of liquid splattering on the area mentioned. The liquid on the tyres seem to be dry.
I only used sponge...poured some of the shine onto the sponge and apply over the tyre. Should be the same method like most i guess.

naughty boy's rx8 is always 10 horsepower higher than the rest of the rx8. His body shine plus his tyre shine plus his interior shine give him the xtra horses.

Do you know there are 2 version of shine cream. One high gloss, and one normal.

Certainly a choice - hence a mod there!

Nice mod :D

I am sure the tyre shine reduces wind resistance and 0.01 of the quarter mile time.
