Hi dear s'pore 8's members.we r having a annual dinner(detail as below)So,i

really hope that SG members can come to join us...Ivan since SG members long

time never go for long distance trip to burn the carbon out :smoker: so i

personally hope this will be the chance to let malaysia and SG 8's members have

a meet up.Then we also have chance to see sg members in

car "poison"....Ivan,should i put ur name on the list 1st?haha....So,do reply here if

The update for the annual dinner : (original msg from marcus)

A price a ticket is Rm120.00 per person. Venue is already confirmed at the zest club, Sunway Hotel. Starts at 6.30pm - 1am on 4th March 2006. we are negotiating with the Hotel ppl to book the entire parking area which is juz outside the lobby.

Massive media and press will turn up for the event. If we can, we want to call all members to come and support the rx8 club malaysia. There will also probably be a lucky draw and entertainment that night as well...

Whats the itinerary? Dinner menu?

Wah. If we call go, someone can film the road trip like the one with ferraris, lambos, etc.

It's depent what is the ivan plan after the name list sudmit.U need to travel from singapore until KL.and the dinner time will be start at 6.30Pm so if u guys want to bring gf go shopping or go spa.....then u all can go there early lah.Emperor,I'm so sorry about the dinner menu coz i haven't get any information due to malaysia RX8 club president is at oversea now.I will try to let u know when i get it.Regarding to the film for the road trip...i can take for u the video if u come to fetch me hahaha.....

Ok..i think u all need to stay a night at KL coz the dinner start at 6.30pm to 1.00am so i don't think many of u will be able to drive all the way from KL to sg.That's why i need u all to comfirm ur attendance so that i can ask KL member to book hotel for u all.Of course after the dinner we still can go KL night life lah.

Hotel stay not provided lah...have to see where u all want to stay.so can ask KL member to book wherever u all want to stay lor.

For a while i thought RM$120 includes hotel stay. I think we should all stay a same hotel, and one that has safe parking. Cheap, good and safe.

When is the last call for the dinner? I am waiting for a south african client to confirm a few things first -- he said that he will be here in SG on the 1st week of March. But I am waiting confirmation.

When is the latest you date you can give me for confirmation of attendence?

Aiayh.... I am Malayisa too. So I can flip both sides of the equation! My client said the 1st week of March -- thats why I am not sure when exactly I can pop into KL for the night during that week.

Yes, bro... i am interested... the only problem is whether my FD will b ready by then.... its in the workshop for a major rework... Since I cannot confirm by the deadline, I think I may just organise a few of us to go there if I can make it.... jus to join the session outside.....

JSOC = Japanese Sports Car Owners Club..... Got extensive of cars..... All my RX7 frens are from RE Club too..... Many RX7 driver turns to drifters..... Some of their cars are even driven by Tsuchiya and Kazama during the D1 Malaysia last few months ago...

Hey Everyone,

Juz came back from my overseas trip yesterday. I met up with the committee for the dinner already. We are meeting with the hotel ppl tomorrow. Will update you all for the annual Dinner. We welcome all s'pore members. It will be a great night.

I will post up the latest after the meeting tomorrow. If you need hotel bookings, we can arrange for those from s'pore who are coming. Media turn out is expected to be very big. Cars from all over malaysia will be coming down also.

Just get the latest information from my malaysia president(theshortshortman) and the information as below:

Place/Location : Sunway Hotel Zest club(Beside sunway Pyramid)
Date : 4 March 2006 (saturday)
Per Ticket ent : RM100 per Person(exchanged SGD50)This also includes Free
Parking in the Parking infront of the Hotel.We are gonna have
a Media frenzy on that day and some Sponsors are Putting in
Free Stuff For Our Lucky draw As well.
Closing date : 24 FEB 2006 (Friday)

This Event is Organize by JSOC-malaysia(Japenese Sportcar Owner's club) so it will be more than 80 japanese sport cars from malaysia will join the Event.So,I really Hope that all the Sg members can join the event and Marcus actually suggest have a round trip with Singapore members after the dinner.Will update with u all after i discuss with Him....cheersss

Hi guys,latest information from my 8 president(marcus)...pls read below:

Juz talked to the dinner committee. We have all decided to postpone the dinner to the 18th of March. This is to give more time to all members from all over malaysia to truly plan if they can make it for the dinner.

The date also coincides with the F1 Malaysia leg. Those coming from abroad like singapore can kill 2 birds with one stone. See F1 and go to the dinner on Saturday. We are getting more sponsors by the day and also good feedback from all the car mags and media.

The dinner committe will also collect all entrance fees about 2 weeks before the dinner. Those coming at the door will have to pay more and show proof if they have a Jap Sports Care. So, the reasonable advise is to plan early and pay less.

We want to make this a success with all our members because the dinner will serve as a great platform to meet new friends with the same intrests in cars.

We would appreciate the replies as early as possible. Please don't hesitate to call me or write into the forum on your RVSP.
