Advice Needed on Exhaust!
#27
K thanks bro. Just curious..if the power chamber gives an extra 3-5 bhp on top of the exhaust gains itself, does that then mean that for the FI'd cars - these figures are multiplied?

Hi Bro,
Auto ...2 choice :
1) RE -A - RE guys did their research on auto Rx8 , the exhaust they design will fit pretty well on an auto..powerwise is there as well. If u got the budget go for the titanum ones....super cool
2) Trust Titanum- What i used to have ...btw i no longer drive Rx8...so power wise i would say reasonable but weight saving..u are toking about 12Kg less...imagine how much wieght saving.. Less Weight = More power... LTA approve
Those who seen my car should know what i am toking about,...

Thanks for all your advice... Can't wait any longer and have installed Apexi N1 exhaust from GMS yesterday ....
Well, not as bassy as I would have expected during idling, but nevertheless, can feel the increase in power.... sounds pretty ok during mid to high range.... can get quite loud if i whack the accelerator hard .... Just some comments to share with you kind pple out there...
May I know if changing any kind of cat is definitely non-LTA compliant? This is definitely another way to sound loud... how about air filter / intake... any recommended brands (LTA compliant). I was told that for 4AT, no point to change the air filter as it won't bring any significant improvements to the performance, correct? I'm now using K&N box-up filter...
Looking forward to hear some expert advice...

Depend what setup you want? Track or street driving?
Track often uses ur mid and high end power, so getting an open pod will be more suitable , however, open pod on an auto tran car will greatly affect the low end power...so depnds wat u are after...
Street, best just keep it stock.
So far i would recomm :
Intake (open pod) type: 1) Re-A intake kit (comes with cf box..)
2) Racing beat intake (comes with air box , optional air duct)
3) Blitz sonic power intake kit (comes with heat shield)
For street, i strongly recommend drop in with R' Magic filter element ...power...

4) Autoexe intake kit (comes with cf box)

Last question, changing catalyic converter is considered non street legal right?

^ bro....the power chamber is something very sophisticated.
its......a chamber with power.
thus we call it power chamber.
exactly the same as power ranger. You give the ranger power...he becomes power ranger.
like that also you dun understand....

RE-Amemiya oso has one, but it is only made for the super dolphin muffler... and is sold separately.
Many pple have this myth that the autoexe muffler is only suitable for the ATs. The answer is NO. It is oso made for the 6MT and 5MT. However it will not lose power for the ATs becos a lot of exhausts in the mkt are developed only for the 6MTs, which caused the ATs to lose power when installed. Wat brands they are, i shall not discuss here but many brands sold locally are only suitable for the 6MTs and those ATs on those all complained loss of power....
