~Just checked the EP Register, DANNY A - EP214620, it could be him as the car was orderd from Beconsfield Mazda, for you that don't know - Beconsfield is only down the road from Maidenhead + the car seems to match up.

Unquestionably it is the AutoArt model. It might be worth the £23K though because I'm damned if I can get hold of one (or two in my case)!

Be interesting to see if anyone bids. And more interesting to see if they actually have a car to sell to the winning bidder in Nov!

Interestingly, I've mailed them - its a Don Guthrie....
I asked whether I would be the first owner or not - this was his reply....

Hi Si,

Thanks fro your interest.

You're not the first to ask and I have had conflicting information from the
dealer on this question. They initially said they would be happy to do the
first registration to someone other than myself, but then this week they
said that Mazda will be checking that registrations are to the person
contracted (i.e. me).

All I can say at this point is I would do my best to have the buyer be the
first registered owner, but I can't guarantee that.

Cheers
Don

Yes, I realised that, the question was about whether the image was a real car or the model. As it IS the model one wonders why he didn't use an image of the real thing?

That is a stupid question!!

How on earth would he get the real thing on this small screen:D :D

Actually I don't blame him for trying the Ebay route. I was thinking about doing the same with mine but privately not Ebay, as I'm strugling on getting the right money for my car at the moment and if it means selling the RX8 on, then so be it. I don't want to lose thousands just for the sake of having one of the first RX8's.

A fairly standard 19", but my '8 is so far away right now it would probably fit nicely on the screen of my cat's flea's mobile.

That's enough moaning for today, I'm off to bed. :D
