Explination: I wrote oilman a message about his use of the PM system to advertise his club. It's been hundreds of PM's sent ... for a paid service he's selling. While I want the club to be successful, I cannot allow him to continue to use rx8club.com resources freely for something he's charging a fee for.

When he writes me back and we come to an agreement, as I'm sure we will, the threads will be moved back here and things can continue as before.

Don't freak, I'm not shutting you guys off. I just need some consideration on his part to allow things to continue as they have been.

Just a point of clarification here.

The UK RX8 Owners Club DOES NOT make a profit. -

Any members fees are pumped back into it to organise events etc and to pay for otherwise mundane admin things such as members kits, web charges etc.

The RX8 Owners Club is NOT a profit-making organisation. In fact many of the early members (ie some of the committee) have put money in at their own loss and are not expecting it to be returned.

I'm sure that's the case. Whoever is in charge of decision making for the club needs to write me. Fact is, oilman has sent hundreds of PM's, using our resources to publicise a service he is charging for. And unless you want these priviliges removed, we need to come to some sort of agreement.

That's all ... just being courteous it all it's about.
