Titanium paint.
Titanium paint.
Many months ago there were discussions about the Titanium Grey paint regarding its code and whether it was mica or metallic. The final assumption was metallic.
Well the vehicle specification brochure that Mazda UK has produced states that the code is 29Y and that the paint is MICA!
Or are they wrong?

Well according to the new "Vehicle Specifications" brochure it is Mica
But according to the new "Price list" brochure it is metallic.
Conclusion - God Knows. (as Mazda dont seen to
)

Have Mazda ever been wrong about anything before ?
I had a test in a titanium on Sunday and I have to say, it certainly didn't look like a mica - a VERY small flake metallic, I reckon. It actually looked like a grey with an ultra-glossy clear-coat... not very 'sparkly' although it wasn't a particularly sunny day.
Personally I was disapointed with the titanium - I thought it would look more metallic than it did... have a look at the grey 6's; I don't know if it's the same paint but it looked the same to me(there was a grey 6 in the showroom).
Until I saw it, I was all set to order titanium but changed to the blue and ordered on the day - sorry if that upsets any titanium-orderers - just my opinion
