Test drive and delivery delay summary

Hi All,

I had my first test drive today. Car was Hi-power velocity red with red/black leather and satnav. You don't need me to tell you how good its was! So my mind is made up and options just depend on the trade-in value of my A2 1.6 FSi Sport and delivery time. Definately Hi-Power, almost certainly Titanium grey (though the red and Winning blue are tempting), possibly with satnav and/or sunroof.

The dealer (Leamington Spa) has previously told me that delivery is March/April if its a factory order but possibly as soon as December if they manage to source a car from stock.

So my question is this: What options will definately cause a delay in delivery time?. I'm guessing (from what members of this forum have had delivered to date) that red, black, silver and grey, leather and satnav are not a problem. Other colours and sunroofs will be later - but how much?

Apologies if this has already been answered, but after todays test drive I am more than a little eager - I know that those of you who have been waiting 11months+ will understand!

Late breaker.

So is the consenus that specifying a sunroof will mean a lengthy delay?

BTW, my moniker on this forum has been Bulkhead (not Late Breaker). My mistake - so many forums (or is that forii), so little time. Anyway, deleting the cookies has sorted it out

It seems that the direction the wind was blowing on the day you ordered, the colour of your eyes or your shoe size possibly constitutes a delay in Mazdas wonderful ordering system.

Ignore me, I'm just cheesed off at the lack of info from my dealer, and I only ordered in September, so I really have no right to be!

Ordered APRIL and still no news. Patience is a virtue I don't seem to have!

Sunroof might not mean delay

I'm not sure if any of the cars picked up yet have sunroofs, but I am picking up my black hi power on Wednesday and I ordered leather and sunroof.

Of course, it wouldn't be a total surprise to get there Weds pm and find it doesn't have the sunroof...

I've ordered my Titanium Grey with a sunroof - estimated date of 5th Dec - but was told it was sourced from the extra 200 stock that Mazda were importing this year. Guess it depends on what config / colour and what they guessed people would want.
