RX8 From the rear?
Have looked again at the pics I took of the 8 in Bristol and they really don't reflect the width and squatness of the car from the rear.
For those that have seen it, my impression was that in the flesh it did not look so high and dumpy, it looked totally in proportion and much meaner.
Does anyone out there have a pic that looks more like the real thing??
It just does not photograph well from this angle IMHO.
Cheers

Very glad to hear that because for me it spoils the look. The nasty yellow example at the top of this page is a great example of badc photo definition. Also, may look better with additional dealer trim on offer.

I'll try and take some good photos @ Henley on Monday...
Got a couple of ideas regarding how best to do this....
Also, the mazdaspeed kit (from the rear at least) looks awesome - I wonder if you can just have the back part fitted (without paying for the lot!)
Actually, dont think we've got an idea of price for that kit yet do we?
Si
PS Nice photos from Bristol Oilman, The preprod looks much better with the 18" wheels.

As a slightly different but similar vein...
The back of the rx8 kinda looks similar to the back of a ford puma.
I say loosely but there is a resemblance.
Ive seen the blue car and yes your right, the photos dont do it real justice. It is also difficult to picture the car on the UK specification even if we know it is 1.5inches lower as we have never seen it and until you do its difficult to perceive it.
I wonder if the blue car is not being driven anywhere - just for show why dont they just lower the suspension on the blue car for us to see.
I will get more pictures of the back end on the 19th When im there.
Morgan i will be the prat on my back taking pictures of the fuel tank and every feasible angle of the back.

No, it doesn't.
I'm not that fussed about the sunroof as I'd heard it was the same as the old mazda 323 (not the current 323, but the jelly mould shape one).
It opens such that the thing tilts and ruins the aerodynamics as it sticks out the top of the car - it doesnt slide into the roof.
ugh.

I agree with oilman the pictures of the rear end do not do it justice.
Whilst I do like the rear end of the car, I wouldn't go as far as Contigo.

I was really worried about the tail, said so in a couple of posts months ago, thought it was too 'Puma' and 'Tigra' but when I saw the real car there wasn't an issue. The tail is low, proportioned and sexy!

Ok, here goes, see if you agree.
These pictures best represent the low and cool stance of this car or a least IMHO.
Sorry they're all red but you know why:D
Cheers
