Registration Day
Picked up car this afternoon after waiting a week for V55. Hang in there Oilman it is definitely worth the wait. Managed to snap a few quick pictures before the sun went. Looking forward to a full days driving tomorrow.

Thanks for posting the pics MAZ1986.
Great shots and an impecable choice of colour
I'll come and drool over them every now and again while I wait for mine to arrive (the car, not the pics!)

Mind you, KEF's pics have to be in the running too though. They're mainly on pages 3 and 4 of this thread https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...5&pagenumber=3

cheers murphy, are you my personal fan club?
just back from a blast to Largs, too much traffic on the main roads, but some of the twisties were great,
nice pics maz, like the RX53 plate, now I just need to find a home for my spare one (if I had the money I'd buy another '8 for alternate days)

Largs eh? Did you take the "back road" through Kilbirnie, etc - some nice twists and long straights!

Great pics - any chance of a close up of the strakes and crest (and letting us know whether they are brushed or polished?)
We seem to be developing a theme of photgraphing our new RX8's infront of old buildings - I'll have to get Kidwelly castle in my pics!

1st place I'm off to in my RX8 is an old elizabethen manor house for the weekend (wedding aniversary). So more pics there!
Will be film tho so will have to scan em. Have to get meh a digi camera soon of decent quality (have 2 crap ones).

AnilS - I've already had my chrissy pressy for this year - and nope, it wasnt the car
Have a good APS camera for snaps, so I'm in 2 minds on the digi front. May go for a decent digital SLR and see what I could do with that, or just get something 4mp ish, I need microdrive tho, no way am I fafing with 64mb mem cards all the time...
Stuartt - the rotary logo's are an option, but I cant seem to find them on the price list.

Thanks for the compliments on the pics. I was just lucky the sun was low and that titanium paint just reflects well. Judging by the look of the silver and red cars they are going to photograph well in different light as well.
Kef - I think pics of your car are great especially the one in mountain scenery. I saw black at dealer last weekend and it looked awesome. Basically I have seen car in all 4 launch colours and they all look great. Can't wait to see blue as well.
The strakes and rotary accent are brushed which I think look better than polished from what I have seen to date.
Wheel centres are an American accessory, I got mine from mazdatrix (4 days shipment from states great service). I also have valve caps but they will only go on for special occasions as I am sure they will get nicked.

£ price ended up approx same as $ price once I had paid for shipment and tax.
Anyway off to get some driving experience in tomorrow.

Also I had to buy numberplate, hence 7 day wait for V55. Car was PDIed and ready to go last Friday but I had to wait a week for documentation.
For historical buffs the photos were outside Lacock Abbey the home of photography.

As requested 2 pics of strakes one with flash and one without. Have been driving most of today and still can't believe what a good car this is. It beats my expectations. I will put some detailed comments up after I have used for a few more days.
