Has anyone read the RX-8 Owners Manual that someone posted on here a few weeks ago? (the PDF one)...

A prize to the first person that can correctly guess the number of times the word "dangerous" is used!!!


I'm scared to look at the things now!

Bear in mind that that manual is written for The Land Of The Litigous, where one can sue McDonalds for selling hot coffee! You should see the number of safety warnings and labels that come stuck on or attached to a ladder over here, ferchrissakes. It's amazing they don't have STOP signs on the top rung!

 

Eccles, the UK is fast becoming a very litigation society too.

No, I realised this was probably why, but I have to admit me and a couple of mate were in hysterics at some of the stuff. I mean just about everything in this car is "dangerous". (I think it was the persistant use of the word dangerous that was so funny.. that, and probably a little too much to drink!)

I had a quick flick through - seemed to me to be 50% DANGER and 30% Warning!.

Mind you it was things like :

Danger! - Collision at speed may cause damage!

- or -

Warning! - Do not repetadly slam head in doors!

Standard stuff in us, as if you dont warn about somehting (microwaving kitty to ry it off) they people sue.
