Lets stick to comments on the car, and do the only thing we can do - wait till the car arrives.
BE POSITIVE MAN! POSITIVE KARMA!
Do you dig Graves?
Yeah, they're alright...
(little Young ones quote for you there)...

Agree. However if they have been reading, and given the feedback from dealers, and all the freebies, I rekon they know. The trouble is, I dont think they can do much. If Japan say they are delaying, I doubt their protests will have much effect.
I'm just trying to talk myself into waiting - help me out here!!! Otherwise I might end up spending more money on something else, cause trust me I cant find anything as cheap that interests me..

Ok, sorry I was talking delivery... I agree communication is next to useless. I'd rather have a firm date in November and some decent communication than "maybe in October if we can be arsed".

They could put a smile on all of our faces and deliver our cars next month!!
That would be a great stunt.
Unfortunately, pigs might fly:D
Cheers

"oh no man, its the piiiigs"
another Young ones quote to kind of bring the karma in here full circle.
I'm on a positive kick too at the moment after speaking to people "interested in cars" who all think its a great car - in principle.
Also all think that the depreciation wont be cack at all. Actually thinking about this, when I had my Mazda 323 (P551 BBC) from new, I paid £11,995 for it and I remember the what car depreciation being such that it would be worth 43% of the original price after 3 years. Well guess what, I've only just sussed that all they have (probably) done is whack the Mazda average 43% figure on the '8 with no extra thought, and we've been reading FAR too much into this.
BTW, I sold the 323 after 2 years and got back £9,700 which is nigh on 81% of the original.
If this is true on the 8 (which I would probably do to sell with a years' warranty) then I would get back £17,800 which is therefore a loss of around £4,500 - or £2.5k a year.
I can live with that.
