Not much mention of black
Just found this pic. Black was my second choice and probably have been my first choice if I hadn't have had a few black cars recently. Mind you I've had a few silver/grey cars as well, Ohh I don't know, maybe I ought to go for red:D

Have you considered the Nordic Green which is black except when it isn't?

I really like black cars, my current Subaru is black so I felt like a change this time.
I also prefer mica blacks as they look great when clean in the sunlight. The RX8 black is solid, but still looks great IMHO.
How about this......

White anyone?
Mmm, based on these recent pics black is definitely a close second choice for me, if one becomes available before the blue arrives I will be sorely temped.
To flip the topic, would anyone go for *white* if it were available here? I've seen a few gripers on this in the main (i.e. mainly US) forums. For some reason white suits boxy-but-purposeful cars like the Evo and Scooby in my eyes, not so attractive on curvier machines like the 8.

anyhoo, white just doesn't do it for me: the clean shine of black and the badass appeal (not to mention the obvious subtely and fashion co-ordination inherent with the "colour") just makes it the only colour for me (in a "dream car" kind of way...)

Sorry to evesdrop from the states, but I actually really like white cars. (Well, other than the fact that every company makes a slightly different white, so when two white cars are parked next to each other, one always looks dingy) I currently have a white Ford Zx2 and i love the looks of it... and it isn't a boxy car.. i mean, its far from an Rx-8, but i think white looks every bit as good on a curvey car as it does on a boxy one.
I was really upset that Mazda doesn't offer white in the states, As it would have been my first choice... so of course i went with the next best thing... black... i guess i'm just not a very colorful person...

White ?? err... no.
Never understood white on a car. Just says 'repmobile' or 'ex-rental' somehow...
You will be telling me that we should have the tan inserts for the seats next. :D
Back on a serious note - I had also noticed that there appeared to be a lack of black pictures. Really like black cars (although I would never own another due to the only-clean-for-20-seconds factor).
Also seems odd that Mazda supply the black paint for 'free' whereas Ford charge for black paint (or at least they used to).
Am interested that titanium has become the colour of choice (or seems to have done). Would have thought the red would be first.....
