Non Sat Nav cars

I'm confused. Do non Sat Nav cars have a stroage area instead ? I've heard on one hand they do, but certain pics suggest a solid top dash. Any thoughts as I have not opted for Sat Nav.

I think it is just a solid top as you suggest Anil from all the pictures I have seen.

Thats a shame. It would have been nice to have a cut out there as you could then add your own accessories, maybe TV screens!:D

On second thoughts, that sounds a bit naff.

Somebody posted a message weeks ago saying that they had been told the UK (Europe?) cars were getting a flat storage tray if they wern't getting nav.

I haven't heard anything else about this since, so perhaps it's just one of those rumors.

However, this feature is available as an option in Japan, I do remeber seeing a photo on the forum somewhere, so who knows?

hmmm, not sure from the two cars I drove the other day. If the red DID have satnav (which I think it did - actually scrub that - it definitely did - just re-looked at the pic of my ugly mug and its there)...

Anyway, heres another thread starting regarding 3rd party GPS stuff

I was told back in Bristol many moons ago that the non-satnav cars would have a storage compartment.

We'll See.

Cheers

I got one with no Nav. There's nothing there, no storage just dash. The Mazda6 has a nice little storage compartment (dealer told me "put your Radar Detector in there). Would have been nice.

it wasn't just oilman,

the mazda pr guy who's touring the country with the blue pre pro model said that the uk spec cars without satnav were going to get a storage locker similar to the 350z.

I hope we do, as it would be useful storage etc. Also something else we get as standard that the US etc dont :D
