Okay - you saw through my little ruse. This is a 1/43 scale collectors model from Autoart. I bough this from Model Car Expo in Hong Kong, which can be found here:
http://www.modelcarexpo.com/index2.asp
I'd bought from them before when I used to visit Hong Kong so I knew they were trustworthy.
The model is very good quality indeed and captures the shape and dimensions of the RX8 very well.
They do the model in 4 colours see here:
http://www.modelcarexpo.com/subcatlist2.asp?catid=21
They are red, blue, yellow and Titanium. No black or silver by the looks of it.

I got hold of a 1/18 Autoart off Ebay. Right hand drive Titanium. Cost £46.68 including package and insurance. I got it within th week. I've emailed the guy to see if he has any more.

modelcarexpo sell the 1/18 scale models (although I think they only have them in yellow and red at the mo). The cost is about $50 usd and they do ship world-wide.
I would highly recommend the 1/43 scale model that I ordered. The quality and detail are very good indeed although there are no opening parts.
