Exclamation More Dealer News!

My Dealer called me today and would like to meet this evening!

He has more info and a brochure! (will scan & post this evening)

He wants to go over what he has got. Too busy currently to discuss with him so I'll post any info I get this evening.

Cheers
OILMAN

My dealer seems to be a dozy sod too. I think he knows what to do but not convinced. I will chase him Friday.

Meanwhile, keep us up to date Oilman.

Hopefully you won't see that many but I agree. I would prefer the blue but will go with the red (probably) but Sept delivery date.

My dealer contacted me today, he is placing my order on Friday morning. He says he has recieved full instructions on how to do this and mine will be the first on.

He then phoned me later and said he was having trouble processing my credit card number (had one digit wrong), hope this doesnt mean my pre order date doesn't go down as being today.

But he's obviously doing something, I'll check with him tomorrow.

Havent had a call from my dealer this week, so I'll chase him up tomorrow.

They processed my credit card a while ago so they already have the money.

Looking forward to see what news the Oilman brings!

Yea, come on Oilman, I'm waiting for some news.

My dealer had my grand 6 weeks ago, and my credit card definately got swiped, I paid the bill last week.

Spoke to my dealer today, first red 240 bhp with leather in Staffordshire's mine, so feel a little happier.

I even qualified it saying I didn't care if it had Sat Nav I'd pay the extra and have it.

Sh*t, don't tell the missus about the £1,500 though!!!!

OK guys!

Sorry for delay. Now back from dealer fed, watered and kids in bed so here goes!

THERE ARE 7 PAGES TO FOLLOW SO DON'T POST ANY REPLIES TILL I'VE FINISHED PLEASE !!

Well,

My Dealer handed me the FIRST official RX8 Brochure and a cracker it is too.
He received 3 copies in the post this a.m. direct from the publishers. We can only assume MAZDA instructed them to send them direct due to timing (web site launch friday) as they are obviously running behind.

Its Red and Black and folds down to 8" x 8" but is 4 panel (total width folded out approx 32"!!).
The middle two panels are one of the press pack pics I've seen before and the left/Right panels are the guts.

Left panel is titled "drive the revolution" and has all pictures of the Red-Red/Black Leather car as per the Mazda press pack. It runs to 9 pages (high quality and feel) with the following headings

Heralding a sports car revolution
Be the first to drive the revolution
Goes like a rocket with a whine that sounds supercharged & sexy
Rotary power in motion - victory at Le Mans
From racetrack to driveway - The legend of Renesis
Heads will turn
Unbeatable ride and handling
Interior craftmanship
Designed to be different
Active and passive safety

This part will probably not interest you as pics are old hat thanks to forum, only text is new but no new news on the car.

The right panel is however far more interesting "how to pre-order your Mazda RX8 so I will attempt to post these pages below or at least all 8 of interest.

Some official confirmations of importance are:

1) RED/BLACK Leather only available with RED car
2) SAT NAV only available if leather ordered.
3) We get 6CD changer!! (Hurray)
4) Warranty 3yrs 60,000 & 3yr breakdown/roadside in Europe
5) Comment on pre-ordering quote

"Please note if you have already placed a deposit at your preferred dealer you will not need to complete the pre-order steps listed"

HURRAY!!!!

Well guys, here come the pages so only eight more to do.

I have agreed to meet my dealer 8.30 friday to discuss further but he has no official word from MAZDA yet on ordering but the new brochure has sort of put my mind at rest!

Cheers

Oilman,

What can I say, well done.

I'll be down to the dealers to pick up my copy tomorrow. Great news about us 'dealer depositers' (new term for us I think!!) it seems to be splattered all over that we need to do nothing just sit back and wait for delivery.

Superb news.

Lets see whos the first to get some official follow up direct from Mazda with deliveries etc. Can't wait!

Stunned!

I'm so tempted to go and see my dealer on Friday.

But, I'll content myself with a phone call.
I'm going in on Saturday morning anyway.

So the other three colours green, blue and yellow are not available at launce so that rules them out them.

I am going to go for the velocity red plus red leather.

Oilman how have you managed to get the plate?

DVLA?

You can order plates at dvla-som.co.uk and keep them on a certificate until the car arrives. Just pass the certificate to the garage and sign the form.
Easy as that.

Well done Oilman. Glad to see you're on the ball.

Presumably we now have to put in our firm order or is there still time to play around with options as long as Mazda have our order and money?

Also, are you going for red with red/black interior? I am.

YES RAEL!

My mind is made up. RED with RED/BLACK Leather interior!

Seems to me from the new thread here Titanium will be too popular and the RED looked good in C&D Video.
It's also the signature colour for the car and I want that interior!!

Mines like this (I HOPE)

Cheers
