mirror, mirror
What's with this wierd mirror the guys'n'girls in the States (and Canada/Japan?) are getting?
I haven't read anything about an 'upgraded' mirror option.
Anyone know anything about this?

It's a standard auto-dimming rear view mirror designed to prevent the driver being dazzled by following cars at night. It has a sensor that detects the light level falling on the mirror and dims it accordingly. No big deal, they've been out for a while (350Z has one too) but I've no idea if the UK car gets one. Hope so.

Hi
A soon to be *grey* lensman, no less Isaac fan I guess?!
What is the 'homelink' button I've heard mentioned in conjunction with the mirror? You heard about this?

The mirror has auto dimming in the uk.
Home link is a programmable infra red transmitter imbedded into the mirror, there are buttons on the front to support up to three different signals. This is so you can use it to operate remote devices such as gates, garage doors etc. without having to carry all the remote controls around with you.

I used to have this on a Peugeot 406 and found it very useful at night.

On the main picture of the Auto Express review the rear view mirror has a flip switch thing visible underneath, which would suggest it does not auto dim.
