Just amke sure the engine is properly warmed up (about 2 minutes AFTER the water temp gets up to normal - oil heats up slower). And rememeber that if you boot it around a lot you will consume oil fatsre, so keep checking that too!!!

And enjoy

Note also the manual just says dont spend prolonged periods over 7k for the first 600 miles. I managed to get the beeper on by mistake yesterday and I have not done 300 miles yet!

I'm coming to the 500 mile stage but have been going over 7K every now and then. Doing most of my non-motorway driving in 3rd or 4th at best, great fun but eats gas.

I've just passed 600 too... I'm still being a little cautious ... probably will until 1000, but I'm happy to take it over 8K every now and then...

I noticed somthing today though, one of my friends was walking past as I reversed the car out, so as I got on to the road (Since I'd warmed it up well)... I let the revs extend to somwhere between 7 and 8 as I left... Nothing special, but since I'd wound the window down to say hello.. I heard the car properly (Since it's been cold and raining practically all the time, I've not driven it with the windows down...) OH MAN, it sounds GLORIOUS!

In Adelaide , South Australia, I recently had by first 45 degree day for the Summer. The air conditioning went on. It was either that or have my back weld to the leather ...

But anything under about 36 the windows definitely stay down.

Under 5? There is an "under 5" now?

I thought even London would rarely get that low, given it has its smog blanket to keep it warm during the Winter.

Although I did get a pretty damn cold day when in the UK last June, up in Edinburgh the weekend Queenie was there. I remember because I had a Fiat Stilo hire car with a busted heater.
