Smile Its a long long wait till May!

After some investigation work (thank you for your assistance) found a dealer in the North West and have done the deed! Deposit paid but only down side is having to wait till April / May time !

I expect they have sent a party out to the hills to dig up the iron ore , pop down the local rubber plantation for the tyres not forgetting to mobilise everyone from the surrounding villages - women, children and small animals to the factory just to make my little ol' 8 for me.

They have to haul it into a small boat and start the long and arduous journey to the muddy disused aircraft runways to climatise to the UK weather before they ship on one of those transporters, down the M60 to the dealer and finally I get to drive it home! Phew! Hey all that just for me from Mazda with love! Cool!

Now I have to sort out sourcing oil, a cheap Spare tyre I am not paying £350 for a space saver tyre and a few nuts and bolts if I can avoid it!

Well if it makes you feel any better I have to wait till maybe June and that seems like forever! Still enjoying reading how everyone else is getting on with theirs and picking up some good info....

Good idea about the spare tyre, pretty obvious really but didnt occur to me at first so thanks for that one!

Keep your spirits up guys!

I'm at the end of a four month's wait. With some luck I'll pick my car up on Tuesday, next week.

So there is light at the end of the tunel!

Cheers,

Tamas

Yeah, that kills me too. The automotive industry complains about overcapacity but you still have to wait 8 to 10 weeks to get a locally produced mainstream car (eg : Focus).
I got around it with my RX8 by asking my dealer to find one in another dealership in the country. Took him a few days.
