Alright Lads!!
I am living just outside tallaght on the way to Blessington (one of the best driving roads in ireland ) I won't make the meet this weekend as my missus is only coming home from working in the states so I have to stay home and play the good Husband!!
Where did you all buy your cars? I got mine in Joe Duffy Mazda and I got a pretty good deal off him!!

HI Gents
Good to know there are other fellow Irish 8 owners out there. I have a 2005 192bhp. I have it about 8 months. She flooded on me about three weeks ago. Spark plugs are not cheap, from the dealer (€215) and that doesen't include fitting.
I'm in Clonmel. After reading some of these threads I got the traction control off recently. That's fun.

All right there lads. Just moving to Dublin and I'm about to buy a new one - can't wait to get my hands on it! Getting it in Joe Duffy mazda as well. Won't have it in time for your Ashbourne meet though.

I flooded it by moving it about 15 feet, I didn't let her warm up. The following day she wouldn't start. I tried the foot to the floor but that didn't work, then removed, cleaned and dried the plugs but no joy. I towed to the dealer where they changed the plugs.

yeah, I had the squeaking breaks things too...it's normal, especially on a new car. New brake pads + brand new raw metal can lead to some squeakyness....believe it or not, the very reason they are squeaking means your breaks are in damn good shape! You will also notice that after the brake pads warm up the squeaking goes away. I went through that annoying phase but after a month or so they squeak no more! Be patient and you will see that it will go away...
Haven't taken her to top speed yet...have been breaking her in easy and so fricking hard to find a few KM's of road to let her rip. Damn Irish roads are too short!!!! PS (when writing about your speeding antics BE CAREFUL what you say, especially don't post any videos on youtube etc., people are getting done for it left right and center in UK & Ireland )
Yeah, that was more than likely me, I live near Swords...I have an '08 Velocity Red RX8 with strakes, rotary accents front and rear, sun roof...t'was me bejaysus!
So what exactly are you driving, how is she cut? Are you in the northside too?
Haven't had much feedback for a meetup, but if you wanna hook up for a pint and an RX8 chat somewhere in the Northside, just let me know. PM me your cell number or something.
Cheers,
Akay.

hi there again all, hey bboy guess what , I have an Velocity Red RX8 with strakes, rotary accents front and rear, sun roof, the very same as your's, ha ha! But you spent alot more than i did and went for the 08, Nice!!! MY is only an 05, BUt it only had 20000 miles on it, a bit broke in , but the guy must off kept it in his garage as the thing is like new, not one scratch on it!! if mine was a 08 i would not be taking it to them speeds with low millage, if that was you in swords you must off been up early cleaning the fn thing, as it was fn spotless, Very nice!! Yea i am only up the road, Balbriggan, m1+ rx8 = fun buzzing off the boy racers from lusk skerrys and rush in there done up hondas, yea i am defo still on for a meet up , hopefully we can get a good few to go on a bit off a run, so any more irish 8 owners out there drop in a message and we do this,
