Chris, if you look through this thread 'IRC Thread' there are details of what software to download and how to set it up.

Bit basic but a good starting point.

If you have any problem after trying that PM one of us tonight, most are logged onto the forum whilst in the virtual pub (IRC).

I won't be round till a bit after ten pm, got a Sushi night with work on tonight, but one of the others might be able to help more.

Best bets are me, Renegade_Si, BlueAdept, Crabacle, were all pretty much on the ball as far as setting up IRC is concerned.

Anybody else I've missed, sorry, just put your offer to help in another post.

I was in from 9.30 to 10.25ish. Just caught Chris before dashing off to free up phone line.
Nobody else showed up.

 

The rest of us didn't get there till just before 11.

 

If anybodys up for it I suggest Sunday night, - we probably need to decide what's happending about the club. TitG has to be there, and it would be useful for Oily and some more of the old timers, - otherwise everybody's welcome.

 

Oilman and I sort of got steamed up about the club ourselves last night, (with he help of Any Pearce and Druck ) and have already come up with an initial plan of action. Will be glad to talk to others on line as well though and get more ideas.

 

Anybody fancy documenting and sharing it then please?

Im back from the land of Oilman and full of pasties , and I will be happy to join you all in IRCland tomorrow evening.

Now Im off to open that Cider.......

 

OK then, this is 'THE' announcement for 'THE' meeting.

If you only plan to enter into one chat session this year , make sure this is the one you come to. :D

Seriously though, it is imortant that as many people as possible who have an interest in a successful UK RX-8 owners club come and join in. There are many things to discuss and all these topics would benefit from the input of a large number of interested people.

Come along and voice your opinions and air your views and ideas about a UK based RX-8 Owners club.

If you are interested, at any level, please try to attend, a club is only as strong as it's members.

The planned time of the meeting is 9:30pm Sunday 5th of October.

Don't worry if you can't get on 'till late, you will still be able to contribute, nobody will be excluded.

A rough agenda will be posted late Sunday afternoon.

 

Oilman has drafted a letter to send out to all UK Forum members, due to timescales it will be impossible to get this sent out before the meeting. However anybody who wishes to attend the meeting and would like to recieve a copy of this letter before, just PM me, and I will send you a copy (via PM or email, please state which, please remember to supply your email address if that is how you would like the letter sent).

Also if anybody is desperate to attend, PM me and I will attempt to get you set up on IRC in time for the meeting tomorrow (leave some sort of contact info.).
